Warnings The following details the safe use, assembly and maintenance of the highchair:

• Check that the highchair is fully erected and ensure that all safety locks are engaged before placing a child in it.

• Do not allow children to stand on the seat or on the footrest as the chair may become unstable.

• Do not elevate the highchair on any structure or table.

• Do not leave the child unattended. Always keep the child in view while in the highchair.

• Do not place heavy items on the tray.

• Do not place the highchair near an open fire, barbecue or exposed flame.

• Do not raise, lower, fold or move the highchair when a child is in it.

• Do not use this highchair until the child is capable of reliably and consistently sitting upright.

• Ensure that the highchair is placed away from walls, furniture, curtains, curtain chords, electrical cords, and any

other items which may be contacted by the child that may cause injury.

• Ensure the highchair is on a flat, even horizontal and stable surface.

• Follow manufacturer’s instructions at all times.

• Make sure children and their fingers are clear of any moving parts if you adjust the chair or tray, otherwise they

may be injured.

• Regularly inspect the highchair for any part that is loose, broken, torn or missing. If it is not working correctly, do

not use – seek repair.

• The harness must always be used and correctly fitted – most injuries are caused by falls from highchairs.

• The tray is not designed to hold the child in the chair.

• The weight of the child using the highchair should be less than 15kg.

• This highchair is not intended for commercial use.

• To avoid danger of suffocation, keep any plastic bags away from babies and children. Do not use plastic bags in

cribs, beds, carriages or playpens. Plastic bags can block nose and mouth and prevent breathing. Bags are not

toys.

• Use only those accessories which are supplied by IGC Dorel and approved for use with the highchair.

Assembling your Luna Highchair

TO JOIN THE BACKREST (FIG. 1) TO THE SEAT (FIG. 2) • Insert the posts of the backrest into the holes of the seat until the fixing mechanism ‘clicks’ into place.

Ensure that the outer posts go into the outer grooves and forced through until they clip together.

The inner posts will fit and lock into the narrow slot.

TO ATTACH THE CROTCH RESTRAINT (FIG. 2) • Line up the two pegs on one side of the crotch restraint and insert into the holes on the arm rest.

• Pulling the other armrest slightly outward, insert the pegs on the other end of the crotch restraint into the large

holes in the arm rest.

The crotch restraint prevents the child from slipping out of the seat.

TO ATTACH THE FOOTREST (FIG. 3) • Lay the seat upside down.

• Place the footrest so that it is flush with the edge of the seat.

• To engage slide the footrest from left to right to insert the pegs into the holes.

• Move the footrest sideways until it ‘clicks’ into place.

You can move the footrest laterally to make sure that it is fixed firmly. You can detatch the footrest

by laying the highchair on its back and pushing the footrest sideways.

TO ATTACH THE LEGS (FIGS. 4 AND 5) • Join the lower leg and upper leg together, making sure that the pin and its hole are aligned.

• Push the pin down with your thumb to slide into the slot.

• Insert the upper end of each leg into a retaining post at the bottom of the seat.

• With the pin aligned to the groove push in all the way, then swivel until the retaining pin pops out.

• Repeat for other legs.

Ensure that each half leg is firmly in place by twisting and pulling it without pressing the pins.

TO ATTACH THE HARNESS STRAP (FIG. 6) • Feed the harness shoulder strap through the seat slots.

• Ensure that the strap ends are flat against the back and bottom of the seat so that they do not pull

through the slots.

Ensure that the strap ends are fitted correctly by pulling them to ensure they do not dislodge. Make

sure that the straps are not twisted, to prevent discomfort to the child.

• Repeat above for waist strap and crotch strap.

TO ATTACH THE MEAL TRAY (FIG. 7) • Squeeze the handles underneath both sides of the meal tray and slide forward over the armrests.

• Release the handles to lock the meal tray into place.

You can adjust the meal tray position by squeezing the handles and moving backwards or forwards.

Ensure the tray locks into place.

TO TURN THE HIGHCHAIR INTO A LOWCHAIR • Remove the upper leg sections of each leg.

• Replace the lower leg section directly into the retaining post underneath the seat (using the same fixing

brackets).

TO REMOVE THE CROTCH RESTRAINT FOR CLEANING • Push both ends of the crotch restraint towards the backrest firmly, until you hear a ‘click’.

• Grasp the crotch restraint and a seat arm and pull apart.

• Lever the loose end of the crotch restraint away from the arm.

• Repeat for the other side.

To reattach the crotch restraint, fit the pegs on either side into the large holes inside the arm rests,

and then push the crotch restraint towards the backrest.
