The news is confirmed by influential members of the Italian Government and in particular by the deputy minister of the Interior, Filippo Bubbico.

I am a journalist and I have documented the transport together with a colleague of mine. Both write in a local weekly magazine: "L'Independente Lucano" but, for the occasion, we published an article in a newspaper prestigious nationally: the weekly magazine "Oggi" of the publishing group RCS (the first publishing group of newspapers in Italy).

Confident in the liberal and democratic tradition of the United States, we then interviewed your agency "U.S. NRC" through a series of emails but receives no answer.

Always known the respect and protection that the United States of America reserves the free press, we can not explain why no one responds.

For this reason, Distinguished Mr. President Obama, we ask for your intervention so that we can know when, where and by what security guarantees, the radioactive cargo from Italy has passed in the United States.

Below the emails that until today are devoid of response.

Respectlul Regards

Nicola Piccenna

object: Transport of radioactive material to hidden destination?

Dear gentlemen,

I need to know if you confirm tha arrive of radioactive material from Italy in the last week.

Specially, I would like to know destination in U.S.A. of those materials and information about respondence of the shipment with U.S.A. standard safety and security preview in the High(low)-Level Waste Disposal Program published on your site www.nrc.gov .

My last email, today without answer is this:

I am an Italian journalist, my name is Nicola Piccenna (press card of Basilicata -Italy- n. 126256). On 29 July, a transport of radioactive material has started from Military Airport of Gioia del Colle (Sari - Italy). Italian government authorities claim that the destination of the radioactive material was the United States of America. Could you give us confirmation of the type, quantity and destination of the aforementioned "transport"?

Thanks

Nicola Piccenna
