Format

• The full-time Programme is delivered through a mixture of traditional face-to-face teaching (including Large Groups Sessions and Workshops) and distance learning through our bespoke intranet system StudyNet.

• The programme lasts for 38 weeks (excluding vacations) and face-to-face teaching will normally take place on a Wednesday.

• A number of other face-to-face sessions (aside from Wednesday) are held during the year (e.g. full foundation weeks at the beginning of Semesters A & B, skills sessions and assessments).

• Option to obtain a full LLM in Legal Practice on completion of your LPC.

LLM in Legal Practice

• Subject to successfully completing the full LPC Programme you can proceed on to our LLM in Legal Practice. This will allow you to obtain a full Masters-level qualification.

• If you chose three modules from a named specialism you will be able to have this specialism documented and supporting your transcript.

• You will join our successful and popular Internship module on the LLM and the Internship alongside your LPC will allow you to obtain a full LLM in Legal Practice.

• You will need to be in legal employment to be eligible and your employer will need to agree to you undertaking the programme.

• Assessment is based on your work stemming from the Internship and will include a portfolio, self-reflective exercises, a series of master-classes on contemporary issues and work on PCFSMA. In total your work will come to around 15,000 words.

Fees

• The fees for the Legal Practice Course for September 2011 were £9600.

These fees included: • Tuition for both Stage 1 and Stage 2. • All programme handbooks and manuals.• A wireless-enabled laptop with a built-in webcam to facilitate ease of study during the distance learning element of the

programme.

• The fees for the full LLM in Legal Practice for September 2011 were £12100.

(10% Discount for UH Graduates available)
