What you need to knowWhere is the University of South Wales?The University is based in South Wales, UK with campuses in Cardiff, Newport andPontypridd. Wales is a country in its own right, but is part of the UK. Cardiff airportis around 35 minutes away, Bristol airport is just over an hour away and LondonHeathrow can be reached in around 2 and a half hours. Wales is a friendly, safe andinexpensive place to live.

Academic Entry RequirementsFor undergraduate entry: • Diploma di Esame di Stato or Diploma di Maturità with 70% or above.Note: Some programmes may require higher grades, or that you have studiedspecific subjects.

Students who do not meet these entry requirements will be considered for afoundation year.

For postgraduate entry: One of the following qualifications with 90 or above out of 110:• Diploma Accademico di Primo Livello• Laurea • Diploma di Mediatore Linguistico• Licenza di Accademia di Belle Arti

English Entry RequirementsOne of the following qualifications:• IELTS with 6.0 or above (and 5.5 in each band)• IGCSE English with a C grade or above• Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) with C grade or above/B2

How much money will I spend?We estimate that between £145 and £166 should cover your weekly living costs(including accommodation).

How much will my course cost?*Undergraduate courses: Tuition fees for EU students studying undergraduate courses at Welsh universities inthe 2017-18 academic year will be £9,000 per year. EU students may apply for theWelsh Tuition Fee Grant which reduces the tuition fee to approximately £4,046 peryear. EU students are also eligible for the Tuition Fee Loan meaning that you paynothing until after you have completed your studies.

This funding will be guaranteed for the duration of study if students continue tosatisfy all eligibility requirements. This means that studying in Wales is much moreaffordable than at many English universities.
