The cottage was once the home of Miss Dorothy Stewart whopatented a version of camomile which is ideally suited for lawns.The variety is still available in many garden catalogues found underthe name Camomile Treneague. A patch of this camomile can stillbe seen amongst the paving stones in front of the kitchen pond atthe property today.
