Our Location
We are located in the foothills of Valencia, in the shadow of the majestic Mount Talinis on Negros Island in Central Philippines.
Manila is 45-minute by plane; Cebu is just a quick 20-minute plane ride.
Surrounded by Nature
The villages around the campus offer
waterfalls, lakes, hot springs, organic farms, nature resorts, coconut plantations, flower gardens and a
whole lot more!
City Life
Fifteen-minute down the village (by car or motorcycle) is the little cosmopolitan city called
Dumaguete.
Here, arts and culture are alive. It is also here where you can enjoy modern-day amenities like shopping malls, state-of-the-art cinemas, charming small hotels, little cafés, good restaurants (Korean, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, German etc.), spas and live music bars.
Neighboring Islands
The islands close to Negros are known for its white sandy beaches and world-class dive spots. These are Apo Island, Cebu, Bohol and Siquijor.
If you get lucky, you might be able to find your own secret beach for a day.
It’s not just all fun. We do serious study, too
The Programs
We offer 5 features which are uniquely Kalikasan:
1. Intensive English Program
2. Elective Courses3. Life Coach for each
student4. Learning Teams5. Internship
English Program
The English courses are offered across all high school levels.
The approaches and methods are eclectic to address the learning needs of the individual student.
Materials are published by Oxford and Cambridge University Press among other highly esteemed publishers.
Elective Courses
Elective Courses range from
Beer Brewing Outdoor Education Love Education Photography Ocean Art Appreciating the Philippines Food Matters Film Creative Writing Hiphop Dance Fair Travel Philosophy
and a whole lot more depending on the needs of students.
Life Coaching
Each student upon entering Kalikasan is assigned a mature and responsible buddy we call Life Coach.
The Life Coach’s main duty is to regularly check on the academic and personal well-being of every student. The Life Coaches (1 Life Coach:7 Students ratio) have undergone various trainings in effective Guidance and Counseling.
They are your child’s confidante during their stay at Kalikasan.
Learning Teams
Learning Teams are student-led initiatives.
These are projects wherein a student is assisted by a team composed of fellow students, a Korean adviser, a Life Coach, a Mentor and an expert in the field. The main goal: to search for answers to a research problem or produce/build/mount a special project.
