1. Warm up/Perspective/Opening

Preparing the students for the main

body of the class after greeting

them.

T greets the Ss and asks about their mood. After that, T talks about her last day and links her daily activities with the main subject. For example,T: I like reading books but I hate watching TV. Do you like reading books? Then Ss answer the question and get the meanings of these three verbs.

2. Introduction/Stimulation

Having started the subject, students

are getting familiar with the verbs

about the lesson; “love/like/hate.”

First, T asks students’ to look at the pictures which are about daily activities and define each of them. After each of them, T asks questions about them.T: What do you think about swimming?S: I like swimming.

3. Instruction/Participation

Ss learn how to use the verb in a

context by and T checks for

students’ understanding by giving a

written activity.

T gives a written activity to Ss. In the activity, there are four people who are talking about their hobbies and there are also pictures of hobbies. Ss are asked to match the pictures with people.

4. Practice/Further Activities

T gets Ss to use their productive

skills for further practice and Ss are

able to express their feelings.

T gives three cards to Ss and cards includes faces which show love, like and hate. When T says an activity, they raise a card and then one student first tell his/her idea and secondly one of his/her friends idea.

5. Closure/EvaluationT checks what Ss have learnt by giving a written activity game.

T gives Ss an activity named ‘Find Ben’. Ss read the sentences which are about dogs’ hobbies and according to these sentences, Ss name the dogs and find the last dog and its hobby.

6. Follow-upSs are assigned a homework to encourage self-study and realize any deficiencies.
