Innovagri Micro-enterprise: a story of 4 lifelong friend LovaRandirambelo , Madagascar (Watch the Lova story on Youtube)
This is the story of four lifelong friends: Randria, Rafeno, Rafidy andRanarivelo. Neighbors since childhood, they were
educated together. At their graduation, looking for improbablejobs they decided to turn to agriculture. They asked a plot
by proxy and may have a lot of side 3Ha Ivato. They therefore turned to the planting of tomatoes, hoping to get favorable
results.
Therefore, their main occupation was to obtain information on planting and production of tomatoes per hectare, fertilizer
use and monitoring of plants. Their ground was sloping: the plants should be watered every day. The upside
was the creation of jobs in the small town. Indeed, watering required a local workforce, as it should be done
twice a day. He then began looking for a solution to this critical issue that was watering. After a brainstorming
group, the idea was born to make the drip-drip from materials at low cost, on-site: a plastic sheath bought by
the meter and where they placed the "T" at each plant. It was the most that the small company needed.
The people dreamed to receive a benefitwhen the harvest time would have come. Unfortunately, that
year a killer disease devastated the tomato plants all of the capital and its surroundings.
It was then that friends learned of the existence of SCAMPIS and its demonstration in the locality. Out
of curiosity, all these people came to attend the demonstrations and were very interested.
After thatthey discuss with SCAMPISand partnership began. It was successful.
After tomato growers, the four friends have vowed kit manufacturers and are awarded the "INNOVAGRI" until
this day. Throughout their manufacture, they corrected themselves and make changes to molt kits. They
opened ULAM and work closely with SCAMPIS. They aspire to expand their current activities and their outlets;
aware of the water problem. At the same time, being a pioneer of micro-irrigation, INNOVAGRI hopes to obtain
state subsidies, knowing that the water problem in Madagascar could be partly resolved with this system.
Now that SCAMPIS is complete, INNOVAGRI prepares to face alone the challenge of establishing the
implementation of the extension of micro-irrigation system throughout the island. Hazards may be
encountered, however, among other conveyances previously offered by SCAMPIS and bad faith of some
customers when their purchases.
