Friday 21st June: 6.15am: In support of National Bike Week, Limerick Smarter Travel will cycle from Limerick City at 4.45am to the Heritage Centre at Lough Gur to celebrate the Summer Solstice. €5 Entry

hills around Lough Gur including Drumleigh, Knockroe and Knocksrahir. Finger food after at Reardons Bar. Admission €5. 10pm - 11pm Drumming Workshop at the stone circle.11pm - 12.00am Drumming Through the Dusk and into the night lit by
life size willow lantern sculptures created and promenaded by The County Limerick Youth Theatre with artist Nathalie El Baba. Funded by NYCI.. Please book in advance.

out a set, dance the Siege of Ennis or Shoe the donkey. Light refreshments served. Entry €5

10.30am. .Refreshments served afterwards. Admission €10. Arts and Crafts workshop at 10am-12 noon with resident artist

place at Reardon's Bar Holycross - teams of four €20. This ancient game was played in Lough Gur in the 19th and 20th century - try

Honey Fitz Theatre should not be missed by anyone interested in discovering the thrill of 1970's protests and performance art. The play, is the first devised by The Co LYT. All of this takes place in a rehearsed reading setting with moments that are funny, poignant and thought provoking. Admisison €5 8pm - The Busker performs live at Reardon's Holycross

HERITAGE CENTRE AT LOUGH GUR
OPENING JUNE 20th
The visitor experience at Lough Gur Heritage Centre will be greatly enhanced by the recent programme of redevelopment. The new Heritage Centre will be in the best position to interpret the archaeology and the folklore of the Lough Gur area from June 20
th.
Lough Gur Heritage Centre strives to be an excellent resource for the local community and schools along with providing a point of interest for national and international visitors. With over 8,000 years of history to interpret at Lough Gur the refurbishment to accommodate this display has been successfully project managed by Drake Hourigan Architects with excellent work carried out by Henry Connolly Builders. The fit out and design detail is on-going with Tandem Design who will provide a concise and insightful overview of the rich heritage and folklore of the area. Lough Gur Heritage Centre will feature:

Historic Dress Up Area
The Archaeology Experience Zone
Interactive Archaeology Dig
Folklore Storytelling Section
Natural History Overview
Touchscreen & Audio Guides
