Good Morning My Favorite 8 th Grade Class!!!! I am Dr. Blakely and I would like to welcome you to my Screencast-O-matic. I have created this Screencast-O-matic to both to teach you how to use this tool and to model the components that should be a part of your presentation. Just in case I go too fast or you don’t think you understood something don’t worry! I have provided a link to this presentation on www.blakelysworld.weebly.com . You can access it at any time and as many times as you need before the project deadline. Just in case you are wondering, this is a Microsoft Word Document. You will also create a Microsoft Word Document which will serve as your lesson. Make sure that you include as many details as it takes to ensure that your audience will have learned and be able to use their new knowledge on their own. As we go through my Screencast-O-matic notice that I have included pictures, links to websites, and an example of a completed project. Make sure you include all of these components in your work. Make sure to take note of the fact that I am using inflections in my voice so that I am not boring you. When presenting to an audience you want your voice to sound exciting. When you first go to the website this is the screen that you should see. You will need to sign-up. Make sure you sign-up for the free account. If you are not on this screen you should double check and make sure you are on the correct website. You are to click on “Start Recorder”. If this is your first time on the website you will be asked to download the “launcher”. Go ahead and download it. You will need it to actually create your presentation.

Good Morning My Favorite 8th Grade Class!!!! I am Dr. Blakely and I would like to welcome you to my Screencast-O-matic. I have created this Screencast-O-matic to both to teach you how to use this tool and to model the components that should be a part of your presentation. Just in case I go too fast or you don’t think you understood something don’t worry! I have provided a link to this presentation on www.blakelysworld.weebly.com.

Once you have downloaded the launcher you will see this screen. Notice that it says Screen, Webcam, and Both. You want to click Both. That way you will record not only your presentation but you will also record a video of you presenting your “You Be The Teacher” project. The record button is in the upper left-hand corner. If you make a mistake you can
