The project shows the relations between the different public spaces through the densification of the area inside the hospital of Desterro in Lisboa. Paths, clusters and squares are managed in order to have a strong relation with the existent no-used hospital and to create intimate spaces for residential activities. The paths connects the three roads which sorround the site and at the same time they offer points of views of surprise in which is possible to understand the position and came in a cluster or a square. The proposal starts from the grid of the convent. It becames the starting point to create a rational system for the square and a dis-order for the clusters. The centre of the project is a cluster, born from the meeting of the three different heights of the area.

the wall and the garden . lisbonprof Pedro Pacheco
The main idea is to recreate the old situation of the hortus conclusus in the city density. The area that was born to have the Convent of Santa Marta with his fruit orchards, in the XIX century was occupied by an hospital that destroied the main concept idea of the garden closed by the convent. The proposal wants to repeat this logic that was lost in time, through a composition in the place and the topography, program and relation between new and old. The program is conceived as a education centre for the Sant’Ana hill through a shape that embraces a new garden for the city closed by a wall that is the new building. The old convent returns to work around the church becoming a parish center. A center in the hill. A garden in the city center.

MASTERPLAN . CREMONAprof david palterer
The proposal starts from the relation with the main road. After the first choice of a green barrer in order to stop the noise the masteplan evolved to a de-signed park that contains a big green surface that is shown in two different ways, one more geometrical setted with long lines of trees and the other governed by less fixed rules that keep the relations with the high density wood next to the river and the residential area. The first part of the park next to the raod wants to mantein the memory of the place using a structure that seems to remember the old fields.
The residential system seems to work on his own but at the same time is the design of the park and the need of the site which gives birth to the shape of the systems of the buildings. Then the pe-destrian path of the park goes through the public residential spaces designing them.

The project consists of a building for exposition of contemporary art situated in the port area of Cais do Sodrè, in Lis-bon. The proposal configures itself in a system composed by the train station, a square and the pier. The approach is thought in order to have a shape that puts itself in a frame reinforcing the constructive lines of the area and creating accesses e perme-ability to give a museum an important role. Indeed, the main entrance watchs the train station in order to have a strong connection with the main people flows. The south façade faces to the water with a glass structure to have a strong light in the main hall and to the book-shop. The outside steps give a clear idea of embrace between the musem and the Lisbon water.

The proposal is in the area of Scalo Farini, in Milan, an area involved in the 2015 Expo. The building, with a surface of 5000 sqm, is in the middle of huge urban green space in relation with the square and the train stop Lancetti. We can say that this kind of area has not great space qualities because there are no activities or important func-tions that caratherizes it. So the idea is to create a strong landmark in this big area of “nothing”, with a new polyedric autoreferencial polyfunctional building connected with the square through a continuing paving.

The project area is a urban void in a corner of houses typical of the rigid frame of the Milan structure, next to Largo Crocetta. The proposal consists in a architectural completion through the insertion of a new building with different functions, as tertiary and residential. It become a strong element in the site system because has the role of re-establish the original character to the continuing front of Porta Romana, typical situation of the Milan architecture. One of the most important compositive choice is the continuity of the front and the roof.

The new WHOM center is designe and planed trying to keep together all the as-pects that are present in site, trying to catch the landscape and showing the abil-ity to characterize the link betweenthe pub-lic space of the Stadtpark and the private system of the school of music. The inten-tion is emphasized when the coverage, lowering itself into the landscape, tries to keep respect of the rules and priciples of the park. The concept comes from the shaping of a sheet of paper, bending it in some strategic points so that it touches the ground, ex-tending in this way the public space of the park on it. At the same time the movement of the roof ensures at the interior space a continuous dynamicity, and consentig at the classrooms not to have parallel walls allowing the refraction of sound, which is the best feature for listening music. The study of the volume brings the building to have an extended longitudinal shape but in the same time it limits the dimensions of the height, instead the inserting of three patios lightens the massiveness of the building and brings light to the interior and to underground spaces.

From a compositive point of view the roof has been lost the idea of simple element that plays the task of covering and be-came always more something that works toghether with the complete image of the building. In fact the aim of the work for the three years bachelor is to emphasize the in-novations and the strenghtnesses of this architectural theme in the contemporary debate, in order to answer not only to the compositive problem, but also to that is-sues about the relationships between man and his landscape.
