CAMP HOURS: Children can be dropped from 8.30am each day and activities will start at 9.30am. At registration you will be asked if you would like a 4.30pm or 5.30pm collection. For parents requiring additional hours we offer our extended day service from 8am to 6pm. See page 26 for details.

MON 7th – FRI 11th APRIL (5 DAY WEEK) MON 14th – THURS 17th APRIL (4 DAY WEEK) There is always great excitment at our 5 Easter Camps and 2014 will be no exception. No matter what the weather, the fantastic facilities at the 5 Easter camp locations at Blackheath, Mill Hill, Esher, Northwood & Richmond guarantee that your child’s activity programme will keep them entertained all day long.

TUESDAY 27th – FRIDAY 30th MAY (4 DAY WEEK). Let us whet your appetite for summer fun by welcoming you on to our 3 May half term camps. It’s only 4 days long, but the question will be how much fun can you pack into each day from the choice of over 40 activities? Children can attend from as little as 1 day to the full 4 day week. Our staffHead and shoulders above the restWe simply pick the best staff to guide, help and inspire the children. Each member goes through a rigorous selection and training process and the teams we select are chosen for their shared desire and commitment to working and caring for children. All staff are vetted accordingly through the Disclosure and Barring Scheme to reaffirm their suitability. Our Camp Directors and their assistants are supported by an enthusiastic team of Head Group Leaders, Specialist Instructors and Nursery Staff who collectively create the unique team spirit our camps are famous for. A minimum staff to child ratio is practised at all times and each camp has a designated Child Safety Officer.

Our service promiseWe pride ourselves on excellent customer service and we aim to make the booking experience friendly and simple from start to finish. We appreciate coming to camp can be a new experience for your child and we offer a unique 24-hour refund guarantee should your child not settle after the first day, we will refund you for the remainder of the holiday (excluding transport), and what’s more we’ll give your child a complimentary day when they decide to give it another try.

Throughout the week, camp offers children the opportunity to try their favourite activities as well as try things they have never had the chance to do before. With over 40 activities to choose from, we have perfected the art of keeping them entertained.

Booking optionsYou can book from as little as 1 day to multiple weeks with our 1 Day Pass, 3 Day Pass and weekly booking options. We offer free payment plans to help parents spread their childcare costs across the year and we also accept all childcare vouchers. If you are unsure of your holiday plans you can always change your holiday dates free of charge up to 56 days before camp starts. Remember, book early to get the best discounts then pay later.

Specialist HolidaysSpecialist Holidays are the ideal way tocombine specialist tuition within the exciting multi-activity programme. If your child would like to spend more time focusing on their favourite activity, our Specialist Holidays such as Horse Riding, Swimming Lessons, Tennis Academy or Soccer Academy could be just the ticket. Check out all Specialist Holidays available on pages 20-23. Don’t forget to request this at the time of booking.

Additional servicesWe can arrange lunch, transport, extended day, insurance and a camp kit which will provide some of the clothing you will need to make your child’s holiday as hassle free as possible. See pages 24-25 for full details.

Insurance & 24-Hour Refund GuaranteeWe offer two options: CPP Insurance and 24-Hour Refund Guarantee

CPP Insurance is available at £10 per week/£2 per day booked and covers you in the case of cancellation if your child is unwell and unable to attend. For full details of this insurance see pages 28/31.

24-Hour Refund Guarantee is available at £10 per week/£2 per day booked. If your child does not settle after the first day, a pro-rata refund for the remainder of the holiday will be given (excludes transport). If a child does not wish to return, a complimentary 1 day pass will be issued should they wish to try it again.

For little people with big ideas!

PlaytimeTreats for 3’s and fun for 4’s – hugs and smiles for all – that’s the motto for our Playtime Camp and our littlest guests. At this age children want to explore and learn more but only in a safe and stimulating environment and a programme to match, tenderly delivered by the most caring and enthusiastic nursery team.

Staff you can count onOur staff provide parents with immediate peace of mind and ensure a friendly face is there to welcome the shiest 3 year old to the liveliest 4 year old. Each purpose built nursery is managed by an experienced and qualified Senior Nursery Leader and Early Years Coordinators chosen for their genuine commitment and desire to work with younger children. A staff to child ratio of 1:8 is observed at all times.

Plenty of variety We keep activities short and interactive to ensure maximum fun. Energetic play like Bouncy Castle and Splash Time are mixed with quieter moments like face painting, songs and stories and biscuit decoration.

Extra treatsWe offer a number of Specialist Holidays for Playtime Campers including Swimming Lessons, Starmaker, Prince and Princess Academy and Creativity Workshop. See pages 20-23 for details.

Half day taster weeks are available from £27 per day/£135 per week and session times run from 9:30am to 12:30pm and from 1:30pm to 4:30pm.

Treat your child to daily one-hour swimming lessons with an experienced instructor. The emphasis is on learning through fun with swimming games and water confidence exercises appropriate for each age group. Suitable for beginners and children who want to improve their confidence.


LunchesCampers can bring their own lunch or for just £5.50 a day we can supply healthy sandwiches, fruit, low-fat crisps, a snack and a drink. Packed lunches are only available at our summer camps in Esher, Mill Hill, Northwood, Richmond, Wimbledon and Woodford Green.

Camp kitTo avoid home clothes getting muddy or worn, we offer camp t-shirts at £10, baseball caps at £8 and a camp bag for £10. Or you can choose our bumper kit for just £28, with two t-shirts, a bag and a cap waiting for your child on arrival. Water bottles at £4 and wristbands at £1 will also be available.

Extended dayBusy parents can take advantage of our extended days, dropping your child off at 8am and collecting them at 6pm. This service costs just £50 a week, £10 a day or £5 per half day.

Birthday cakeFor just £15 we can arrange a nut-freebirthday cake for your child to share with their group.

TransportWe offer a range of pick-up points to take children to camp in the capable hands of our bus supervisors. Safety is our first priority so we hand-pick our transport partners for their high standards and reliability. No child is ever left unattended and we have comprehensive emergency procedures in place.

Scheduled pick-up pointsFor only £85 a week we can collect your child from one of our pick-up points between 7.45 and 8.50am, returning them between 4.45 and 6.30pm. All vehicles have seatbelts and are driven by responsible, experienced drivers, most of whom are involved with school runs during term time. Call 01263 823 000 to find out more.

Door-to-door serviceIf you live within our door-to-door catchment area, we can even pick your child up from home and return them to your front door. Pick-up and drop-off times are allocated by our Transport Manager 3-5 days before each week begins. This tailor-made service costs just £130 per child per week. Call 01263 823 000 for more details.

The Camp Beaumont philosophyWe’ve seen thousands of children grow up at camp – with many returning to us as Instructors and Group Leaders. We’ve seen insecurities disappear as friendships blossom, children learn independence and most of all self-confidence and a positive self-image emerging as children receive recognition and encouragement from their new camp friends.

Safety firstActing in loco parentis, we apply the same standards of care and safety that any parent would expect, not least because many of us are parents too. All our camps undergo thorough Ofsted inspections. You can see the results at www.ofsted.gov.uk.

We comply fully with the 2004 Children Act with a minimum staff to child ratio of 1:8 and are regularly inspected by the British Activity Providers Association (BAPA). So while your children are having fun, you can be sure they’re being well looked after.

Arrival and departureWe open at 8.30am for arrival by 9am. When you arrive, we’ll ask whether you want to collect your child at 4.30pm or 5.30pm that day. Children staying until 5.30pm enjoy an extra activity session for free. Extended Day from 8am-6pm can be booked at £50 per week, £10 per day or £5 per half day. Please don’t forget to pack you child’s lunch if you have not booked this service.

When you drop your child off, you’ll need to sign a register and give us details of anyone else who might be collecting them that evening. If the same person is not collecting in they evening we will request a copy of their signature too or if for unforseen circumstances your plans change we operate a password system to ensure your child’s safety is never compromised.

Your child’s programmeEvery child will benefit from at least six group activities each day and these will be listed on their individual timetable. If you’ve got any questions or concerns about these activities please contact your Camp Director.

Preparing for campWe’ll send you a comprehensive information pack around two weeks before camp begins. We’ll also ask you to complete a medical form and bring this to camp on the first day. If your child has any special requirements, please send these to our Customer Care Manager in advance so we can make any necessary arrangements with your chosen camp.

What if my child doesn’t settle?If your child is unhappy contact camp immediately as most issues are instantly resolved. If your child does not wish to return after their first day we offer a no quibble pro rata refund to parents who have taken out our 24-Hour Refund Guarantee. Please see Booking Conditions section 3 for full details of all our Insurance cover.

24-Hour Refund Guarantee is available at £10 per week/£2 per day booked. If your child does not settle after the first day, a pro-rata refund for the remainder of the holiday will be given (excluding transport). If a child does not wish to return, a free complimentary 1 day pass will be issued should they wish to try again.

CPP Insurance is arranged through Endsleigh Insurance Services Ltd and insured by AXA Travel Insurance, it is available at £10 per week/£2 per day booked and covers you in the case of cancellation if your child is unwell and unable to attend. If you decide to take out your own travel insurance, we recommend that you check that the policy covers adventure holidays – as many policies don’t include these types of activities.

1. CONFIRMATIONYour holiday will be confirmed after we receive your booking form and/or the appropriate deposit. Please note that payment of the deposit is regarded as your acceptance of the booking conditions and is non-refundable, other than through our Customer Protection Plan.

2. CANCELLATION2a. If you wish to cancel the booking or any part thereof you must notify us immediately in writing. Until written confirmation is received we will continue to hold your reservation. All cancellations will be acknowledged. Cancellations incur the following charges on the total booking value: • More than 56 days before camp starts: loss of deposit only. • 56-29 days: 50% of the total holiday price. • 28-15 days: 65% of the total holiday price. • 14-1 day: 100% of the total holiday price. • On or after the holiday starts: 100% of the total holiday price. Cancellations may be reclaimed from our Customer Protection Plan when the reason for cancellation falls within its terms; if cancellation is due to illness an appropriate refund may be given subject to the illness being medically certified.2b. If cancellation is due to illness a full refund less CPP insurance may be given subject to the illness being medically certified and the illness not being a pre-existing condition. Cancellation charges in section 2a do not apply to medical cancellations.

3. INSURANCE & 24-HOUR GUARANTEE3a. CUSTOMER PROTECTION PLANOur customer protection plan is designed to give you maximum reassurance and peace of mind with its comprehensive range of protection. It covers all sports and activities at camp and provides:

The following Sections are insured with members of the Association of British Insurers:

• All cancellation charges up to the full cost of the holiday (see the schedule in part 2 above)• Complete cover for all activities organised by Camp Beaumont• Personal accident up to £5000• Medical expenses up to £2000• Curtailment of activities up to £200

We insist that all of our clients are covered to this level. Our experience has shown that standard policies do not cover all of our activities, e.g. motorsports. The insurance cover offered by Camp Beaumont is arranged through Endsleigh Insurance Services Ltd and insured by AXA Travel Insurance. The policy is administered in the UK by Endsleigh Insurance Services Ltd which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

Health: You must inform the insurers of all serious or chronic illnesses that required medical attention during the last six months relating to you and all persons on whom the travel plans depend. Failure to do so may result in claims being excluded. (‘All persons’ means the children who are actually travelling and also any relatives, etc, on whose well being the trip depends.)

Conditions, Exclusions & Warranties: These may apply to individual sections of the policy or to the whole policy.

Property Claims: These claims are paid based on the value of the goods at the time you lose them and not on a ‘new for old’ or replacement cost basis.

Policy Limits: Most sections of the policy have limits on the amount the insurer will pay under that section. Some sections also include other specific limits, for example for any one item or for valuables in total. You are advised to check your policy carefully if you intend taking expensive items with you. Policy Excesses: Under most sections of the policy claims will be subject to an excess. This means that you will be responsible for paying the first part of any claim. The amount you have to pay is called the excess.

Reasonable Care: You need to take all reasonable care to protect yourself and your property.

Complaints: The insurance policy includes a complaints procedure which describes the steps to take if you wish to make a complaint.

Dangerous Sports or Pastimes: If you take part in dangerous sports or pastimes where there is a risk of injury, check that your insurance policy covers them. All activities organised & implemented by Camp Beaumont are covered.

Policy Documents: This gives you full details of what is and is not covered and the conditions of the cover. You must read the insurance policy carefully. The Insurance Policy will be subject to the law of England and Wales unless otherwise agreed. Any client who does not take out our Customer Protection Plan must complete an Insurance Indemnity Form. If you have booked on one of our special offers please refer to booking conditions printed on the offer leaflet.3b. 24-HOUR REFUND GUARANTEEIf your child does not settle at camp after the first twenty four hours, despite the best endeavours of parents and Camp Director, we will offer a pro-rata refund (excluding transport). When the Camp Director and parents agree that any perseverance is not beneficial you must contact our Head Office which will request you to confirm your cancellation in writing within 7 days. Our 24-Hour Refund Guarantee will only apply if the above criteria are met. If your child has been issued with a verbal warning, the money back guarantee is no longer valid and no refund is due.

4. YOUR RESPONSIBILITY4a. BOOKINGResponsibility for the details of bookings and for payments lies with the person making the initial booking. Replacement of any booking confirmation or duplicate paperwork will incur an administration charge of £5.00 per item requested. 4b. LATE PAYMENTSReturned Cheques and Declined Cards. A £15.00 charge will be made on any cheque returned by the company’s bank or declined cards by Streamline. Any account left unsettled after the balance due date will automatically incur a £15.00 charge.4c. INCOMPATABILITYWe reserve the right to decline any Booking or exclude any child at any time prior to or during the Holiday or activity if in our reasonable opinion the behaviour of the child is disruptive, dangerous or incompatible (whether as a result of any illness, disability, social behavioural problem(s) or otherwise) with the general enjoyment of other visitors. For the avoidance of doubt if any child is reasonably deemed to be incompatible by Us by reason of their objectively agreed disability prior to Booking or during the holiday or activity we shall consider any reasonable adjustments that We and/or the incompatible child in question may make in order that their behaviour is no longer deemed by Us to be incompatible and that We may be prepared to accept their Booking or allow them to continue with their Holiday or activity. You agree and acknowledge that if We in Our absolute discretion deem that any adjustments (whether made by Us and/or You and/or the party member(s) in question) are not reasonable and/or are reasonable but are likely to adversely impact (eg, from a safety or any other similar perspective) on any other child) Holiday or activity then Our decision to decline the Booking or exclude a child is final and shall not be open

to legal challenge. Any additional costs so incurred shall be entirely Your responsibility and no refund applies. You shall advise Us at the time of Booking and immediately after Booking fully in writing of Your child’s name contact details and any requirements needs or personal circumstances that You reasonably consider may affect the child during the Holiday including special dietary requirements illness disabilities any social behavioural problems (e.g, ADHD or any equivalent or similar or any other affliction that may render the child Incompatible as defined at clause 4a above that a child currently has or has recently experienced or any other such personal and/or sensitive information (Personal Information).4d. CAMP RULESAll parents are required to read and explain the camp’s health and safety rules to their children which will be sent in advance of their holiday in your Parent Welcome Information. Camp Beaumont will not be held liable for any resulting injury if a child ignores these or specific instructions of the Group Leaders, eg leaving their group, climbing on equipment or going into Out of Bounds areas.4e. DAMAGE LIABILITYWe reserve the right to reclaim costs incurred for any damage caused by your child/ren to any Camp Beaumont, School or Contractor’s property and buildings.

5. PAYMENTAll accounts must be fully paid before we can accept a child at camp. All balance payments are due by 1st February 2014 for Easter Camp, 28th March 2014 for May Half Term, 30th April 2014 for Summer Camp and 1st September 2014 for October Half Term, unless otherwise stated. Full payment will be required for all holidays booked after these dates.

6. TRAVELAll amendments to Escorted Travel Bookings must be followed up in writing. We cannot accept changes or additions to travel plans ten days or less prior to a holiday. (Our Travel Managers need this period of grace to finalise transport). Cancellation of any transport requested within this time can not be transferred or refunded. Alterations or additions may be made to your booking and travel arrangements either in writing or by telephoning the Parent Line on 01263 823000. Some changes may incur an additional fee if the booking is altered. For cancellation terms see clause 2.

7. BOOKING ALTERATIONSPlease note, we reserve the right to levy an administration charge of £15 if you change your booking less than 56 days before your camp session starts. 1 and 3 day passes will only be charged an administration fee of £5 for changes less than 14 days before the holiday starts in respect of any changes made to booking details or if the date you are changing to is more expensive than the week you had originally booked the difference in cost will be charged. Bookings which include Specialist Holidays, transport and lunch can only be transferred if availability remains on both the date you are changing from and the new date you have chosen. No refund is due if cancellations are made less than 56 days before your camp starts if any of these elements are cancelled.

8. PERSONAL PROPERTYAll your child’s personal property is your own responsibility, unless loss or damage is proven to be due to Camp Beaumont’s negligence. If anything is missing when your son or daughter leaves Camp please let the Camp Director know about it right away as there may still be time to find it before Camp closes down at the end of the season. Expensive and treasured items such as jewellery, CD players, Walkmans, personal video games, mobile phones, designer clothes/shoes/trainers, etc., should not be brought to camp as they are often unnecessary and inappropriate on an adventure activity holiday. ‘Luxury’ items such as these are only partially covered under our Customer Protection Plan, are subject to an excess and are not covered as ‘new for old’.

9. SWIMMING ABILITYAll children under 8 years of age will take part in a swim test to determine their swimming ability and water confidence.

10. OFF-SITE ACTIVITIESA number of our holidays include excursions and off-site activities such as horse riding at local stables. All our usual standards of care and supervision apply. All children may participate in off-site events unless we specifically receive written notification to the contrary from parents or guardians.

11. PROGRAMME CHANGESThe timetables for certain activities are subject to alteration in the event of wet weather conditions, or other factors which are beyond our control. In the event sessions are cancelled due to safety reasons, or factors beyond our control, we will not be contractually obliged to give any refund, but we will look at every case on its own merits.

12. TRAVEL CHANGESHoliday and travel arrangements are occasionally subject to change. Should this be necessary for any reason, Camp Beaumont will inform you at the earliest opportunity.

13. NEGLIGENCEWe accept responsibility for personal injury and for loss and damage generally, but only if caused by the proven negligence of the company or its employees. We do not accept responsibility for events which are outside of our direct control. These include (but not exclusively) force majeure events such as strikes, bad weather, war, etc. and injury, loss or damage that may occur while we are using third parties or sub-contractors such as transportation companies. We act as an agent for transportation companies, from whom detailed conditions of carriage are available.

14. COMPENSATIONIn the unlikely event that a child experiences a problem or difficulty while at camp, the matter should be reported immediately to:

1. The Camp Director who has the authority and direct knowledge to deal with most queries.

2. If he or she fails to resolve the difficulty to your satisfaction, then write to us at our Head Office within 10 days of your child leaving camp. We will only compensate complaints if both these conditions are met.

15. PHOTOGRAPHY

(a) The copyright of all photography appearing in our brochures belongs to Camp Beaumont. No reproduction may be made without prior permission from the company.(b) Please inform Camp Beaumont if you do not want your child’s photograph taken. It may be used in future brochures.

17. MOBILE PHONESUse of mobile phones/electronic equipment for taking photographs and video footage is not permitted.

What Happens Next?After we receive your Booking Form and deposit we will send you confirmation and an invoice for the balance of payment which is due for settlement as listed on your invoice. A copy of the Customer Protection Plan setting out the full terms, conditions and exclusions of the policy will be sent with the pack. Shortly before the holiday, we will email you a Parent Information Pack which will have all the joining information you need prior to camp opening. A medical and emergency contact form for each child will be included in this pack and must be completed and taken to camp on the first day. Any pre-ordered camp kit will be issued at camp. For any children with special requirements, parents are asked to contact the Customer Care Team to discuss individual requests.
