" I moved to London to study MSc Cyber Security with Advanced practice because there aren’t many women working in IT. There is a demand for these skills, particularly as there is a gap in the market for this in Uzbekistan as it continues to develop.

Today, there is an increase in data flow as well as more instances of cyber hacking and someone should be able to secure your data. This course is all about learning how to protect society’s data information.

We have learned how to protect the wireless networks from threats, not only through hard skills but also through soft skills such as writing information government policies for organisations.

Everything I learn in my first year will be shown, tested and enhanced in the Advanced Practice work experience opportunity."

"The most useful aspect of my programme is the range of modules. All of the programme modules had their benefits but the first two modules which covered risk management - Information Governance and Security and Network Security - were the most useful as my current role covers this area. This programme also allowed networking amongst other professionals that work in the industry and the lecturers were extremely knowledgeable in their respective fields."*

Money MattersFinancial support for UK/EU studentsUndergraduate Tuition Fee Loans Tuition fee loans pay for your course and all UK/EU undergraduate students are eligible for a loan to cover the cost of these fees, regardless of your household income. Here are a few facts about how the loans work:

• The money is paid directly to the University by Student Finance England (SFE) so you don’t have to worry about it.

• Tuition fee loans incur interest at RPI + 3%.

• You don’t have to start paying back the loan until the April after you graduate and are earning over £25,000 at this time. This means that if you begin an undergraduate completion award (Top-Up) with us in September 2019, your first payment won’t be until April 2021 and only if you are earning £25,000 a year or more. Any earnings over this amount will see a 9% deduction as repayment towards your student loan.*
