Tumors downsized by NACT might

have higher local recurrence after

BCT than might tumors of the same

dimensions in women who have not

received NACT.

• Young age, N+ and G3,

non-pCR status, HER2+

and TNBC subtypes were

found to significantly

increase the risk of LRR as

first event after NACT.

• Pts. with HR-/HER2+ and

TNBC not achieving pCR

were at highest risk of LRR.

Hence, there is a critical

need to investigate better

multimodality post-

neoadjuvant therapies for

this patients.
