EPDM Rubber Permaroof Roofing MaterialEPDM Permaroof waterproofing system comes as standard on all Pent and Apex Roof Log Cabinbuildings. EPDM is quick and easy to install and incredibly long-lasting, it is a rubber roofing material, cut to size of the cabin and installed in a single sheet, with no joins and therefore is very long lasting.

Providing a correct basefor a Log Cabin

Our Log Cabins need a substantial base dueto their heavy timber construction. The baseshould be solid and flat; if in doubt, pleaseconsult a structural engineer. The base sizeideally should be about 6" larger than theinternal ordered size (above) and no morethat 12" larger. N.B. All our log cabins aresold as agricultural or portable buildings andshould not be used as dwellings. If located inexposed locations, customers shouldconsider using ground anchors or bonds tosecure their building.

Plan your Log Cabin in 6 Easy StepsDecide on internal floorspacerequirement, remembering tokeep 0.5 metre spare aroundthe building for servicing.

1. Pick either 44mm or 68mmthickness material for the Scandinavian redwood cabinconstruction.

2. 3. Roofline format can be eitherflat or apex, you decide whichtype is best for your buildingand your needs.

Select where you would likeopenings to be positioned for windows and doors to suityour garden or cabin position.

5. Lastly decide on any extras orupgrades; partition walls,verandas, double glazing,insulation or roof coveringoptions, see above.

6.4. Choose on door and window types: either Georgian, contemporary long toughenedor leaded style.
