This impressive residence boasts nearly 14,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor living space. The scale of the home mirrors the grand scale of the mountains; careful window placement allows maximum views of Lone Peak, Eglise, Cedar, and Pioneer Mountains from nearly every room. Outside the home, a “jumping stream” water feature encircles the house, ending in a large pond, complete with a fountain that evokes the natural geysers found in nearby Yellowstone National Park.

Custom features such as this are evident throughout the residence, including a Warren Miller cartoon wall in the lower level family room and a two-sided stone fireplace in the great room. The home has a spacious layout with elegant main floor living, accented by spaces to play on the lower level including a cinema, ski room and well-equipped exercise room. Yellowstone Ranch Preserve is a one of a kind property located within five miles of Yellowstone National Park, on over a mile of Hebgen Lake shoreline. As part of the Yellowstone ecosystem, the gently rolling slopes lined with Douglas Fir and Aspens are home to several wildlife species, including serving as a calving ground for Bison. Over 750 acres are held in a conservation easement by Gallatin Valley Land Trust to protect this special property for generations to come. The natural wonders and modern day accommodations blend in harmony, with the charming Whiskey Jug cabin situated on the southern hillside and newly constructed marina on the lake. Opportunity exists for additional homesites and amenities, while maintaining the conservation easement. It is hard to imagine that a place such as this still exists: blue ribbon trout fishing, abundant wildlife, boating, Nordic skiing, hiking, biking and a canvas to create your own legacy.

unmatched recreation, it’s easy to see why so many are moving to Montana. During the recession, housing did not increase at the same pace
