Furthermore, I am thankful that you all have such a strong desire to stand on the teachings of Jesus Christ. Brethren, this is exactly what God wants and expects, and all I can say is Praise be to our God almighty! It is marvelous to be counted among the faithful of God. We had a great Lord’s day this past Sunday. Our attendance was good and everyone seemed to be in good spirits. All this was true despite the hot weather. It really has been a scorcher for weeks now, hopefully we will see some rain soon. Let’s all pray for this much needed blessing from God, for prayer is powerful. I am excited to tell you that I have now confirmed my trip to Ghana this year. As many of your know, I was unable to go last year due to many different reasons, although I was scheduled to go. However, I have now booked our tickets and we will be leaving on September 12. I say “we” because brother Brent is going to be going with me. I really love this good brother and thank God that he is going to be able to go on the trip. On Monday, I talked with brother Williams in Ghana and they are really excited about our coming. They are already busy making plans. We will be holding meetings, teaching in school and visiting local congregations to encourage the brethren. We will also be blessed to be there for the school graduation. I know this will be a crazy busy trip, but I look forward to serving God and to seeing my good brothers and sisters in Ghana. Please keep all of our plans and preparation in your prayers. I don’t know about you but I am ready for some homemade ice-cream on Sunday night. I hope everyone is able to be a part of this Agape meal on our 5th Sunday. Let’s also prepare for our 5th Sunday contribution. I know we all love God and will do our very best. Finally, let me challenge us all to be in services this coming Sunday. There is no greater place to be than before God’s throne with your Church family. Hope to see you all there. God bless! *Ray Sullins*
