Water is beautifulhow it reects thesky and the worlda b o v e w a t e rlevel. We arecalled to reectt h e H e a v e n s

above and all thatis established byGod so others cansee and glorifyhim!

FRESH WATER OR SALT WATER?Actually, I would say I prefer, vinyl or cement - I hesitate at

the edge of water. It may be too cold...it may be toomurky...it may be lled with all kinds of things I dont wantto get anywhere near....

Now, Im not unjustied in all of my hangups about water. I do know how to

swim, not well, but I can tread for a little while. I have had some harrowing

experiences in water all up and down the eastern seaboard, from Maine to

Louisiana. I have been warned by my uncle EP, not too get too close to the

Bayou cause, we got some nasty critters in thar. and all you saw were to bulging

eyes peeking up through the duck weed, and they were attached to a 14 food longalligator just waiting to taste some yankee food. Ive been wading in the mucky

shallows having come out with leaches on my legs. Ive been in the middle of a

river swimming and yelled at, DONT MOVE as a water moccasin swam by

me. Ive had lampreys jump at my canoe, Ive seen sharks, been pinched &

pricked by crabs, covered in pieces of

dead jellysh, seaweed wrapped around

me, bit by water eas, pummeled by

roaring waves, cut my feet on coral,

even been seasick from just being in it

too long. So Im not a fan of natural

bodies of water. Ive just had too many

weird experiences in them. I do go in

rivers, lakes and ocean, but not all that

WATER IS PURIFYING,CLEANSING, RENEWINGJeremiah 31:9 !"..they shall come with weepingand supplication..I will lead them by the rivers ofwaters..thy soul shall be like a watered garden"

Zech. 13:1 ! "in that day there shall be a fountainopened to the house of David..for sin anduncleanness.."

Rev. 7:16, 17 ! "they shall hunger no more,neither thirst any more..the Lamb..shall.. leadthem to living fountains of waters and God shallwipe away all tears from their eyes"

Isaiah 49:10 ! "they shall not hunger northirst..by the springs of water shall he guidethem"

Ps. 36:8,9 ! "..thou shalt make them drink of theriver of thy pleasures for with thee is the fountainof life.."

Isaiah 44:3, 4 ! ".I will pour water on him that isthirsty..they shall spring up..like willows by thewater courses.."

Jesus IS the LIVING WATER - from HIM ALL

LIFE FLOWS! He was baptized by John at theJordon to full all obedience and in accordancewith the Law.

Pool of Siloam - John 5Imagine having waited decades beside a pool of water

for healing, day in and day out only to have your effortsthwarted by everyone 13,000 times 38 years. Then in all

your frustration a man dares to ask you if you really wantto be healed. Jesus just showed up on the scene, and hechanges the landscape for this man. COMPLETELYINTERVENES and stops the endless repetitive actions ofthis mans life course and CHANGES EVERYTHING -GODs PRESENCE WAS THERE. Arise, and walk. God'scommand, Turn and live; Make ye a new heart; no moresupposes power in us without the grace of God, hisdistinguishing grace, than this command supposed suchpower in the impotent man: it was by the power of Christ,and he must haveall the glory.

What a joyfulsurprise to thepoor cripple, tofind himself of asudden so easy,so strong, so ableto help himself!

Vessels of Honor- Its anHONOR to be HIS Vessel!

We are called to be vesselsof Honor, though we aremade of clay, fragile,temporary, we are still

called to be vessels whichcan contain valuables, or inthis case water that can becarried, and brought tosome of the most destitute,thirsty and dry lives,offering LIFE!

When we speak, when weact, in word or in deed, dowe offer life?

RIVERS Of LIVINGWATER FLOW from US!!!

John 7: 37 gives the storyof Jesus on the Last day ofthe feast of Tabernacles. Inregular practice the priestswould go to the pool ofSiloam each of the 7 days,they would draw up some ofthe Living water into aTemple sanctified gold vessel,c a r r y i t b a c k w i t h a

processional to the Altar atthe Temple grounds and pourit out. It was at this momentthat Jesus probably stood up,On the last and greatest dayof the festival, Jesus stoodand said in a loud voice, Letanyone who is thirsty come tome and drink. 38 Whoeverbelieves in me, as Scripturehas said, rivers of living waterwill flow from within them.39 By this he meant the Spirit,whom those who believed inhim were later to receive. Upto that time the Spirit had notbeen given, since Jesus hadnot yet been glorified.

40 On hearing his words,some of the people said,Surely this man is theProphet.

41 Others said, He is theMessiah.

Amazing that Not onlyare we to be the Light of the

World, the salt of the earth,we are also going to havLiving waters flow out ofUS! So their impact andaffect can be the same

It was an amazingProclamation to Declarethat HE W AS the LIVINGWATER, a sacrifice pouredout for others that theym i g h t h a v e L I F E

ABUNDAN T in Him! That iswhat the Libation offering ofthe water and Wine was allabout, remembering thegoodness of God, for Lifethat they might have aharvest of plenty. And thatSacrific e was required for itto be possible.

Interesting that when Jesus ---------->PROCLAIMS He is living water, in thissituation and the woman at the well inSamaria, the rst response was that He

must be a prophet, and then it was realizedhe was the Messiah!

GOD changes the LANDSCAPEJosuha 3:1 Early in the morning Joshua and all the Israelites set out from Shittim andwent to the Jordan, where they camped before crossing over. 2 After three days theofficers went throughout the camp, 3 giving orders to the people: When you see the arkof the covenant of the Lord your God, and the Levitical priests carrying it, you are tomove out from your positions and follow it. 4 Then you will know which way to go, sinceyou have never been this way before. But keep adistance of about two thousand cubits betweenyou and the ark; do not go near it.

5 Joshua told the people, Consecrate yourselves,for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing thingsamong you. 6 Joshua said to the priests, Take upthe ark of the covenant and pass on ahead of thepeople. So they took it up and went ahead ofthem. 7 And the Lord said to Joshua, Today I willbegin to exalt you in the eyes of all Israel, so theymay know that I am with you as I was with Moses.

8 Tell the priests who carry the ark of thecovenant: When you reach the edge of the

Jordans waters, go and stand in the river.

9 Joshua said to the Israelites, Come here andlisten to the words of the Lord your God. 10 This ishow you will know that the living God is among youand that he will certainly drive out before you theCanaanites, Hittites, Hivites, Perizzites,Girgashites, Amorites and Jebusites. 11 See, the

ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth will go into the Jordan ahead of you.12 Now then, choose twelve men from the tribes of Israel, one from each tribe. 13 Andas soon as the priests who carry the ark of the Lordthe Lord of all the earthset foot inthe Jordan, its waters flowing downstream will be cut off and stand up in a heap. 14 Sowhen the people broke camp to cross the Jordan, the priests carrying the ark of thecovenant went ahead of them. 15 Now the Jordan is at flood stage all during harvest. Yetas soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched thewaters edge, 16 the water from upstream stopped flowing. It piled up in a heap a greatdistance away, at a town called Adam in the vicinity of Zarethan, while the waterflowing down to the Sea of the Arabah (that is, the Dead Sea) was completely cut off. Sothe people crossed over opposite Jericho.

Ezek. 47:1-12"at the south side of the altar there ran out

waters from under the threshold of the houseeastward.. toward the east country waters to swim in ariver that could not be passed over these waters issueout toward the east country (they)..go down into thedesert and..into the sea"

Zechariah 14:8 !"in that day..living waters shall go outfrom Jerusalem..half of them toward the former (Dead)sea..half of them toward the hinder (Mediteranian) sea"

Consider the Woman at the Well in John 4

Here is a a woman that is going to draw water at the well in the HEATof the day. WHY? Because she is ashamed of her lifestyle, her choicesher baggage, her activities, her sin! She has no doubt been the brunt of

jokes and sneers. The source of Gossip.

BUT NOW, What a tremendous Exchange - Literally, not just in

conversation, but actual exchange - HER LIFE for HIS!!! - THERE ISNO GREATER EXCHANGE POLICY in the universe!!!!

She made out well...here is a woman that was ostracized, snickeredat, gossiped about, shunned and scolded. Here is a woman that hidaway, avoided contact with these other women, had no supportsystem and probably the lowest self esteempossible. She had some understanding ofthe God of Israel, she had someunderstanding that she was in sin, buthad no power to change where she

was at.

HE WAS NOT OFFENDED by the fact that Jesus KNEW EVERYTHINGhe ever did..She was not offended that Jesus agreed with that she wasnt inhe best of situations, .in fact it was a comfort to her. SHE WASESPERATE for a change!

HE DIDNT have to live that way anymore, she didnt have to hide. She coulde set free from the PRISON she lived within. a Prison she placed her self in,o one elses fault, no one else had the power to release her.

RIOR to her encounter - AFTER her encounter, she was CHANGED - to the point wherehis woman who choose to avoid everyone in town, headed right into the crowd to boldly proclaim who shencountered. No SHAME, No Regrets, No hinderance - She was ying, she had been washed clean, sheas wearing new garments, she was drinking of the sweet honey from the Rose of Sharon, She was

efreshed by the LIVING WATER, the Source of NEW TRANSFORMATIONAL LIFE!

his woman used to run from the taunts, now she ran head rst/strong into the very crowd that in times pastdiculed her. THATs a Powerful life. Thats an effective Life, Thats an Abundant Life -

he wonder of His LOVE, the Power of His Washing, the beauty of HIS Transformation!s RADICAL - Its IMPACTING - and there is always a residual impact zone, where the splash back of theisplaced earth leaves an indelible, impression on the face of the one impacted, like a meteorite that impactshe surface of the earth or moon. That Splash zone is broad because much is displaced with just a littleiece from the heavens
