    STEP 1: PREPARATION

Use a level and tape measure to install VertiRailaluminum furring tracks. Find the existing wallsstuds. Set VertiRails vertically and correctlyspaced 16 to no more than 24 inches on centerin accord with your stud design.

For ease of installation, marking and drillingpilot holes in wall is recommended. For metal walls, install nylon washer/shims

between wall and VertiRails to prevent galvanicreaction. (provided) Shimming may be needed to ensure that

VertiRail tracks sit ush against solid backingif wall surface is stair-stepped such as lappedsiding. (provided)

Provide aminimum of one anchor per 16 vertical inchesto a solid, strong anchor point.NOTE: Because LiveWall can be installed on avariety of wall types, VertiRail anchors are not in-cluded. Suggested fasteners for typical wall typesare listed on page 14.

For a stonger attachment, provide anchors

every 6-12 vertical inches. Additional suggested waterproong

    STEP 3: INSTALL H-RAIL

Use measuring equipment and level to mark the location(horizontally) for the H-Rail. This piece will not have holes forthe irrigation nozzles. Align the bottom of the H-Rail to bottomof VertiRail and center the H-Rail with the VertiRail. If desired, a 3/16 pilot hole can be drilled into the VertiRail

for ease of fastening. If so, be sure to use a stop on the drill bit tokeep it from penetrating the building wall. Mark then drill size 17/64 pilot holes in v-groove of H-Rail at

points of attachment to VertiRail furring tracks. Be sure that the H-Rail is properly oriented (see right). Using

provided self-tapping RainRail Fastening Screws and T-27 torxbit, securely attach the H-Rail to the VertiRail furring tracks atevery point where they interface. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.

STEP 6: INSTALL HIDEAWAY BRACKETS AND TRIM BOARDS

LiveWall recommends that trimboard is used on at least one side of the living wall - the side that has the irrigationchase. Some owners may choose to line both sides with trim board, and others to put a frame around the entire livingwall. Enough HideAway brackets to install trim board on either side are supplied. Should you wish to create an entireframe, please contact us for extra brackets.

Install perimeter HideAway brackets Space HideAway brackets close enough together to provide sufficientsupport for facing against wind pressure.

Space brackets no greater than 24 on center. Install trim boards (not included) onto HideAway Brackets.

STEP 7: INSTALL WALLTER WALL PLANTERS AND INSERTS

    Install all WallTer Wall Planters.

FOR GREATEST EFFICIENCY, install Wall Planters from RIGHT TO LEFT due to overlapping lip orientation. Install top row rst, beginning with a 16 wide wall planters. Modules in the rst row are all 16 wide planters. Push the top edge of the planter into the RainRail slot above it, and then drop the bottom edge down into

the lower RainRail slot. The second row is installed beginning with an 8 wide WallTer module on the right hand side. This isfollowed by a series of 16 modules, and ends with another 8 module.

Install WallTer Limiting Screw in score line toward top of WallTer module. (Optional for theft or wind resistance)

FOLLOW THE LIVEWALL MAINTENACE GUIDE (enclosed) in caring for your plants and system.
