(I) Feedback from students:

1. What is your most memorable experience during the study tour? - visiting cathedrals - living with the host family - learning in the English class with students of different nationalities - Playing with Sally (homestay’s dog) - The activities in the evening e.g. sport game (it is good for us to play with students from other

countries); karaoke (feel the energy and passion from adolescents) - Chester and Conwy castle are beautiful - The day to North Wales and the castle shows me the great stunning landscape I’d never seen

before, leaving me the most precious memory and deepest impression throughout the tour - The homestay kids are cute and we have good times playing together - A birthday party was held in UK - Can taste some British food - Going to Manchester with Miss Kam, Hedy and my schoolmates - I made friends from different countries - Liverpool Football Club (Anfield) - Saturday excursion (castle, seaside) - Stay with host family and going to the world museum, Tate Gallery - Whole trip - I met lots of friends who come from different countries. Most of the lessons are great. My

most memorable experience during the study tour is that we travelled around the city centre. Also, I’m glad that we took lots of beautiful photos in Liverpool

2. What have you learnt from this trip?

- I have more confidence to speak in English and I have learnt different cultures from my classmates during the English lessons

- Speaking may be since I am required to speak English to may classmates. Also, I learnt more vocabulary in class and street in Liverpool

- Many vocabulary regarding topics discussed in class, such as ‘blockbuster’ of movies, ‘Zeus’ for ‘Wonders of the World’

- More chance to speak English - I learnt a lot of English - Independence and to be more active - The hobbies (customs) of the British (culture, daily life, how do they speak) - To be independent - Some of the English culture - I learnt that being independent is important and I learnt more English - English, independent, other languages (Turkish, Italian, French) - Communicating with people of various nationalities

- UK culture, English, slangs of UK - Liverpool culture, English, a bit language from different countries e.g. Turkish, Italian) - I have learnt more English vocabulary, speaking skills of English, reading English and

listening English - Culture and customs of UK - The culture of England, the history of Liverpool football club and another buildings - Speaking to the other speaking skill, improve my confidence - I have learnt how to communicate with other students. In the lesson, I learnt many

vocabulary and improved my English speaking and listening skill. Also, I have learnt how to be brave and felt confident to myself because we need to go back home and go to school ourselves.

3. Comments for leaders (teacher and counselor)

- Good - They are nice and friendly. Whenever we have any problems, they will try their best and put

all their efforts to resolve our problems. - Good and helpful - Friendly, funny, helpful, responsible, good partners to travel - Professional and considerate, nice and helpful - Very good - They are good and friendly, funny and thoughtful - Very kind and helpful - Very nice and cheefful - Responsible, friendly and reliable - Great - Considerate, care students a lot, give a helping hand when in need - Capable to take beautiful photos - Friendly, nice, kind and reliable - They are very nice and friendly - Very good - Counselor is thoughtful, nice, friendly, considerate, awesome and hilarious. She is a great

photographer too. - Nice and friendly - Good - Good, very good, excellent, amazing, fantastic, awesome - Very good - They are good - Teacher is good. Activities arranged perfect. - The counselor is a funny and friendly person, who look after us carefully. She plays with us

and always take photos for us. Also, she share her experience about travelling in Europe. Nice to meet her during this trip.

4. Other comments or suggestions - The classes will be good if there are more games or discussions and let us have more

interactions with classmates - May be we can join other groups from other nationalities in the afternoon excursion in order

to get in touch of them more. Because it is quite hard to foster understanding with friends just in class.

- Some of the excursion is quite boring such as Crosby Beach. Therefore, I prefer studying (e.g. culture of UK, drama) just like activities at nights.

- Improving evening activities held by the school - The level of English class in not suitable for me. First week is OK but the second week is

not OK, too easy and boring. - The host family is the best. - It would be better to offer more varieties of activity. - Extend the trip better. - Fluent trip - It is better to stay longer - Very good - I think the evening activities can be more interesting. Although we have students from

different countries and stayed together, there is little interaction between us so I think it’s good to divide us into different groups. Also, the activities can be more interesting and we can learn things and skills which are useful in daily life, not just for fun.

(II) Feedback from teacher:

1. The homestay arrangement is generally satisfactory. Students did not have negative comments about their homestay.

2. International classes allowed students to have interaction with students of different nationalities. Some even built up close relationship by organizing a birthday party for a foreign friend.

3. Most of our students were willing to participate in the activities especially the ball games, karaoke, circus skills.

4. Some students refused to take photo which made the leaders difficult to take a group photo 5. Pre-excursion briefing was not enough for most of the afternoon activities. Students did not

have a clear background about the visit which made them difficult to get devoted. 6. Birthday party organized for the students made the students happy. 7. Teacher’s accommodation and dinner arrangement was satisfactory. 8. The weather was generally good with only 3 rainy day 9. Most of the students began to get exhausted in the second week. 10.
