Spring Registration The spring recreation program guide is available now! If you did not receive your copy in the mail, please stop by and pick one up at the Anthony Community Center or visit us online at www.liveandplayvisalia.com. SPECIAL EVENTS

4th Annual Vi-Tri After the Triathlon refreshments will be served and awards will be given. Register online at: www.onyourmarkevents.com. To be a volunteer for this event or other events, please call 713-4586.

Location: El Diamante High School Half Course: ¼ mile swim (400 yards), 9 mile bike ride and 2 mile run Sunday 4/3 8am 14 & over $59 advance, $69 after 3/31

Full Course: ½ mile swim (800 yards), 18 mile bike ride and 4 mile run Sunday 4/3 8am 14 & over $69 advance, $79 after 3/31

Mother/Son Campout This campout will take place at Sunset Park where mothers and sons will play games, work on craft projects, learn about the outdoors and share stories. Location: Sunset Park, Monte Verde & Lisendra #5309 Sa & Su 4/16 – 4/17 4pm – 9am Boys 4 – 12 with Mom $20 per couple, $5 each additional child

Eggstravaganza The 6th Annual Eggstravaganza is a great family event to celebrate spring. Activities include an egg hunt, entertainment, informational booths and more. Location: Riverway Sports Park Baseball Complex Saturday 4/23 10am – 12pm Everyone Welcome Free Admission, activity fees may apply

Singles Ping Pong Tournament Each participant is guaranteed multiple games in this pool play tournament. Top 4 finishers will win prizes. Day of event registration will be accepted as space is available. Location: Visalia Senior Center #5312 Friday 5/6 6pm $10

Coed & Men’s Disc Golf Tournament Format for this tournament is a 4 person scramble. Coed teams must have 2 females and 2 males. Awards will be given to the top 3 finishers in each division. Participants must supply their own discs. Location: Mooney Grove Park Saturday 5/14 8:00am $40 per team

CERTIFICATION COURSES

Basic Water Rescue This class is for individuals who require certification in victim recognition and general first aid topics. It is mandatory for State of California child care providers who are in and around aquatic facilities. Location: Mt. Whitney High School Pool #5381 Saturday 4/30 8am – 12pm 16 & over $55

Water Safety Instructor Course This class will use American Red Cross Water Safety Training Program to instruct participants on how to set up and teach swim classes, principles of motor leaning and information on drills and line method of teaching. Location: Anthony Community Center Room A #5380 M, W, Sa 5/2 – 5/21 16 & over $135

Lifeguard Certification Course This class will prepare and equip participants with the rescue skills and technical knowledge to become effective member of an aquatics team. All successful participants will receive a certification card from the Red Cross. Location: Anthony Community Center Room A #5379 F – W 4/15 – 4/20 15 & over $125

Jr. Lifeguard Clinic If you are interested in becoming a lifeguard but aren’t quite old enough, the Jr. Lifeguard Clinic will provide you with the opportunity to develop leadership and water safety skills. Location: Mt. Whitney High School Pool #5382 Saturday 5/28 8am – 12pm Ages 11 – 14 $5
