Homework: Read independent
reading book.
Warm-up: 3rd, 5th, & 6th period students:
On a half sheet of paper, write your name and homeroom teacher’s name. Thank you.
Take out at least 5 sheets of paper, and pen. Label each sheet of paper: Name, Date, Class Period
When you get in the individual stations, you can add the topic.

How do they enhance writing? How do you write an effective
paragraph? How do you revise for
grammatical and mechanical errors in writing?
How do you use the habits of reading to increase reading comprehension skills?

Essential Questions & Standard
1. You will have 20-25 minutes in each station to complete the task.2. You will rotate through 5 stations. Station 1 to 2, 2 to 3, 3 to 4, 4 to 5, and 5
to 1. Station 6 to 7, 7 to 8, 8 to 9, 9 to 10, and 10, to 6. Teacher, timer, and/or music will alert you when it is time to rotate to a new station.
3. Each station will have its own focus and directions.4. Read all directions for each station. Keep all directions out for everyone to
see.5. Make sure that you have all required materials to complete the assignment.6. If the directions instruct you to work with your group to complete the
assignment, do your part in the group to make sure that it is completed accurately.
7. If the directions instruct you to work alone, then do your best alone to complete the assignment accurately.
8. If you have questions, whether you are working as a group or not, you are allowed to ask someone at the station for assistance. If you still have questions, please raise your hand and get assistance from a teacher.
9. At the end of each station, put all rules, assignment sheets, and other materials back in the folder. Clean up your area and then rotate to the next station.
Opening—What are Smart Stations?
Number 1 to 10. This number is where you will begin in the Smart Stations.
Make sure you re-read the rules when you get to your 1st station.
Begin working and continue working until time is called.
