ADVOCACY

Advocate on behalf of union steel trade contractor

members with local governmental entities. Lobby

for regulatory legislative action on the local level

regarding economic development opportunities in

the construction ield; health and safety standards;

professional training requirements; and more.

EDUCATION

Develop and coordinate educational opportunities

for members regarding state and local regulatory

needs and actions; industry best practices; and

safety training programs.

LABOR COLLABORATION

Work with Iron Workers Local 361 (and other

approved labor organizations when appropriate)

in establishing and maintaining a competitive

market recovery union wage and beneit package

to be utilized for private sector construction. LISTA

will work to facilitate labor harmony, capitalize on

mutually shared interests, increase collaboration,

and enhance industry efectiveness and eiciency.

COST SAVINGS

Design and ofer members multi-company savings

plans for insurance, collective purchasing and other

opportunities.

NETWORKING

Organize a series of networking opportunities

with members, elected/appointed governmental

oicials, developers/owners, general contractors,

construction managers, labor organizations, industry

partners, business leaders and private sector

companies on a regular basis.

STEEL MEMBER (GENERAL MEMBERSHIP) $1,500

Corporations, sole proprietorships, partnerships,

joint ventures or other business entities providing

fabrication, installation and/or erection of structural

iron and steel products engaged in Long Island-

based steel trades, utilizing union labor.

INDUSTRY MEMBER $1,000

General contractors, construction managers, owners,

developers, union trade organizations, and others

that embrace and support LISTA’s mission.

ASSOCIATE MEMBER $1,000

Individuals, private/public companies, organizations,

not-for-proits, educational institutions and other

business entities whose professional activities

embrace and support LISTA’s mission.
