Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Lilly who wanted a puppy. Lillys parents talked about it. They agreed to get a puppy.

They walked to the pet store to look at the dogs. Lilly looked and looked, and she found one she really liked. This puppy is like an angel, thought Lilly.

Lilly pointed at one of the puppies at the end. It was a pit bull. Lilly's mom was not happy with the puppy she wanted.

When the pet store worker came out with the puppy, it was very hyper. The puppy ran up in the yard to Lilly and jumped on her like a kangaroo.

Lilly was so happy. Lilly wanted a dog so much. She looked at her mom excitedly.

Lillys mom looked at her with an undecided face. Lilly loved the dog!WOOF! WOOF!

Lillys mom said, We will be back.Lilly was very upset. She was sad because she didnt get the puppy.

Lilly asked her mom why they couldnt bring the puppy home.Mom replied, First, we should talk about what to do and what not to do when you have a puppy.

Lillys mom made a list of things that she has to do. She told Lilly that if she didnt follow the list of things, then they would take the puppy back.

Later that week, they went back to the pet store and got the puppy. Lilly named the puppy Andy. Lilly and Andy lived happily ever after.

Shianne Breetz is a sophomore at the Lawrence County Career and Technical Center. She is in the cosmetology program and is from the Wilmington Area School District.
