tRIP R€.PORtSYEA AUTUMN FESTIVAL Sunday 28 March

This was the 4 Annual festival held at Yea, and they seemto get better and better every year. The organisers were glad to seeus again and couldn't thank us enough for our participation. i knowmost of us enjoy this particular event and hope they will continue onwith it for many years to come. Once again it was good to see someof the locals and country members and families turn up. It is sad thatwe only get to see some of these people at these events, but thedistances of some of our outings make it hard for a lot of people. However there are the few of us that make the effort and don't mindtraveling around the country side as much as we can, meeting andenjoying the company of aS"many members as possible.

It was a glorious sunbathed day and you couldn't wish fora better one. The crowds of people was astounding. From early

morning to when i went home at about 6.pm the streets were. stilcrowded. There were stalls from one end of main street to the other. There were children's rides on ponies, trains, vintage vehicles, motorcycles, camels and so on. We had whip cracking displays, woodcutting events, auctions, professional basket bailers giving the peoplecompetitions and showing their stuf. Real public relations effort. And ofnaturally the highlight of the day was the parade around the town.

I must apolagise to our members who had their vehicleson display, but I made a list, and the weather was so beautiful, I tookthe side curtains off the cruiser, to enjoy it, but, a bit of wind musthave sneaked in and pinched it off the seat. Until i can come up witha better excuse I'm sticking to this one.

Once again thanks to Don for his tent; as it was certainlyappreciated by all members as usuaL. Come Winter, Spring, Summer orFall we can depend on you. "That's the only wrap you get this yearmate!" By golly, the tucker in that shop opposite to where we parkedwas all right! hey fella's! Well, anywy we all had a good time, enjoyed the company and looking forward to the next one.

I think there were about 11 Vehicles and Trailers ondisplay and that's a real good effort, thank you one and all !
