This dog is an old family pet and was peace- fully sleeping on the rug. Like most dogs I know, she is either busy playing and enjoying the available company, or else just lying asleep. So I had the thought that this seemed to be so indica- tive of much of the mass of humanity, so busy doing, so busy trying to achieve, yet asleep to their greater potential and their infinite power that lies dormant within. As the line goes in Shakespeare’s play A Midnight Summer Night’s dream, “Are you sure that we are awake? It seems to me that yet we sleep, we dream”. However, to me, there are two types of dreams, involuntary and voluntary. There are those that occur in our non- waking state while we sleep, voyages beyond the limits of the conscious mind, nightly journeys into another world, into the subconscious depths of an alterna- tive reality. Then, there are those that we hold in our conscious thoughts and hearts as aspirations and inspirations on what we want to be and do. One of the seven hermetic principles in the Kybalion, a provocative booklet of Hermetic philosophy, is the principle of mentalism, that the All is mind, and that the phenomenal world or universe is simply a mental creation of the All, sub- ject to the laws of creative things. In this universal mind, we “live and move and have our being”. If the Universe is truly mental, then the mind must be the high- est power affecting its phenomena. Dion Fortune noted in one of her books that we are God’s dream, a thought form in the grand cosmic mind. It reminds me of the song, “Merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream”. So the question is, “Are we living the dream intended for us?” Man, being a microcosm of the greater cosmic mac- rocosm, also has the power to create through thoughts and dreams. As the Buddha said, “The mind is everything. What you think you become.” It’s time we create our own dream, realize our own unique potential and make our personal contribution in the greater plan of humanity. Ironically, dreams can help us realize our dream. Carl Jung, an Austrian psychologist and contemporary of Freud, was one of the great doctors and thinkers of this century. He spent his life analyzing dreams and concluded that there are certain archetypical images that occur in all mankind, whether an aboriginal or a computer techie. In his philosophy, these repetitive images indicated that there was a common source which spoke to all mankind. He expanded Freud’s concept of the unconscious to include both the personal and the col- lective subconscious. An analogy might be to think of the personal sub- conscious as a river stream in the ocean, such as the Gulf Stream. It follows its own path based on its indi- vidualized circumstances, but has ac- cess to and is fed by the greater ocean, the collective unconscious, with all its richness and resources. At times, from this vast reservoir of infinite wisdom, this eternal cosmic mind, appear arche- typical symbols in dreams, meaningful images pertinent to our personal jour- ney. Though universal, they will have specific meaning to each individual, providing appropriate guidance for inte- gration on his or her personal life ex- periences. One of the concepts of new age thought is that we are part of so much more than we can possibly fathom from our present perspective. The total psy- che of man embraces many levels, of which the conscious mind is merely the lower level. There is only one universe and we are an integral part of it all. The purpose of evolution is to enlighten ourselves to this greater reality which really is our true nature. The imaginative life must be taken seriously in its own right, as the most distinctive characteristic of human beings. Hence we dream, we listen inwardly. The greater world is always speaking to us in a myriad of ways such as synchronicity and dreams. It is up to us to try to interpret these messages and apply them objectively to our individual situation. FULL MOON MEDITATION & KEYNOTES

Meditation is a potent method of service to humanity when the mind is used as a channel for the reception of the energies of light and love and the will-to-good and their direction into human consciousness. The moment of the full moon each month offers the greatest opportunity for meditation - particularly in group formation - to be used as a means of cooperation with the Divine Plan or Intention for our world. The esoteric Law of Cycles -- the law which is symbolised by the waxing of the moon to full brightness followed by its waning -- affirms that we can consciously cooperate with the flow of spiritual energies. “The soul's meditation is rhythmic and cyclic in its nature as is all else in the cosmos. The soul breathes and its form lives

thereby. The rhythmic nature of the soul's meditation must not be overlooked in the life of the aspirant. There is an ebb and

flow in all nature, and in the tides of the ocean we have a wonderful picture of an eternal law... the idea of a cyclic re-

sponse to soul impulses lies back of the activities of a morning meditation, a noonday recollection, and an evening review.

A larger ebb and flow is also indicated in the two aspects of the full moon and the new moon.” (Alice A. Bailey) The energies which are uniquely available at the full moon -- when rightly understood, received and transmitted in medita-tion -- can be instrumental in helping humanity to move on towards its spiritual goal as an integrated, aligned centre of con-sciousness within the body of the One in Whom we live and move and have our being. This is the essential objective of monthly full moon meditations. Take the opportunity to personally meditate on the appointed day, focusing on the keynote for that full moon. In undertaking the service of full moon meditation, the aim is to work imaginatively as members of the new group of world servers, dedi-cated to world service. Spiritually and telepathically, the group is one and the work is one.

Message from the Mountaintop “I can’t make you love me, if you don’t. You can’t make your heart feel, something it won’t.” Bonnie Raitt song. Love cannot be forced, it can only be an invitation. You are always free to receive or refuse. The illusion of being separate is a strong paradigm of many layers. How does one unravel it? When you take away this foundational belief (I am separate), the rest of the story it has created in your life falls apart. It collapses when you remember you are part of a greater whole. You can no longer be tricked into believing you’re alone and at risk. At some point in life you were innocent and trusting that life had your back. Somewhere along the way, you saw or glimpsed Source’s love in someone’s eyes or in Nature and felt it stir deep within your heart, a memory or feeling of connection. You are still innocent and can trust if you choose. We’ve allowed experience to override essence. Many of us were not told to hold on to our essence in the face of conflicting experiences, but, it’s what we came to do. Within the bewilder-ment is the opportunity to discover compassion for our suffering, tender-ness and nurturing to heal our wounds and the eyes to see that others need this also. With the perpetuation of separateness, instead we discovered blame and pun-

ishment, of ourselves and each other. We forgot we came from the same Mother, way back before worlds were created. We are in fact all brothers and sisters, in holy kin-ship, at our cores. The exploration of this message has played out in many worlds and dimensions, with various intermit-tent outcomes. Eventually, through millennia, the truth prevails. It is our turn at bat, to awaken to the truth within our hearts that there is more than just survival at stake. We can allow love to lift our hearts to the next level, if we do it together. No-one gets out or ahead, alone. Instead of competing with each other as we do, even within “our” families, partnerships, relationships and even against ourselves, imag-ine.. a world where we recognize each other with compassion and co-operation. Imagine.. knowing feel-ings are energy and don’t have to be perceived as threats. Imagine.. harnessing that pure energy in creative beneficent ways. Imagine.. working with your emotions as YOUR creations, no matter what the catalyst that stirred them. Imag-ine.. using them to discover per-sonal truths, truths that could lead to exciting new choices and crea-tions. Imagine.. that your peace is within you and you only need to learn how to access it. Imagine..starting with the premise that YOU ARE LOVED IMMENSELY!! Think of the soften-ing that would allow in your mind

Reiki Reiki means Universal Life Energy. Many cultures

dating back to ancient times have had the wisdom and

the knowledge that an unseen energy flows through all

living things, and is directly related to the quality of

health in life. Reiki addresses body, mind and spirit

accelerating one’s ability to heal one’s self. Reiki, as

taught by its re-discoverer Dr. Usui, has a simple set

of procedures to follow, which were passed down to

each of the Reiki Masters who followed his teachings. Reiki is easy to learn and is simple, effective and safe.

Reiki allows anyone to contact this unlimited energy

and transmit it through the hands, to themselves and

others, creating the space for improved health and

enhanced quality of life.
