BackgroundOverviewThisapplicationnotedescribesoptimizedlightinglayoutsusingThriveAgritech’sInfinityLEDLightBar.Thelightinglayoutsaddressmanyofthecommonlightingrequirementsforindooragriculture,andcoverarangeofilluminationareasandintensities.Thelightinglayoutsspecify:

• NumberofInfinityLightsovertheplantarea• Mountingheightofthelights• Positionandcenter-to-centerspacingofthelights

IlluminationAreaTypicalilluminationareas(tables,shelves,etc.)forindooragricultureincludefootprintsof2’x4’,4’x4’,and4’x8’.Oftentheseilluminationareasarebuildingblocksthatarecombinedtocreatelargergrowingareaswithinacommercialgrowfacility.Theobjectiveofthisapplicationnoteistospecifythelightingdesignsforthebuildingblocks,the2’x4’,4’x4’and4’x8’areas,whichcanthenbeextendedtolargerareas.LightIntensityTheprimaryapplicationfortheInfinityLinearLEDLightistoprovideenergyefficientilluminationforleafygreensandothervegetativegrowth,withlightintensitiesattheplantsurfacerangingfrom100-400umols/m2/sec.TheInfinityLEDLighthasbeendesignedtoreplaceolder,lessefficient,lightingtechnologiesincludingfluorescentandmetalhalide.LightUniformityThelightinglayoutscreatedwithinthisdesignguidehavebeenoptimizedtoproduceuniformilluminationovertheextentoftheplantsurfacearea.Non-StandardLightingDesignsThisapplicationnoteaddressesthemostcommondesignconfigurationsandintensityrequirements.PleasecontactThriveAgritech’sapplicationsengineeringteamwithlightingdesignrequirementsnotcoveredwithinthisguide.
