The LiSIM® simulator is available in a choice of three set-up types. You can choose the best way to train your operators, depending on your requi-rements.

Classroom set-upDesigned to be easily integrated into existing training centres. Display, seat and controls are mounted on a base and a sturdy display frame.

Crane cabin set-upInstalled in an original Liebherr crane cabin, this space- saving solution ensures that the operator becomes familiar with controlling the machine in a real-life environment.

40ft Container set-upThe container offers three compartments: the utility room, the simulator area and a classroom. This compact and fully isolated solution includes a heating and air- conditioning unit as well as appropriate lighting.

The display system is optimized to provide the field view necessary for machine operation. Three types of screens are available:

Motion

The motion base simulates a realistic feedback, according to current machine movements. The motion base is equipped with either three or six degrees of freedom. In terms of a mechanical body, the number of degrees of freedom is the number of independent movement possibilities.

The simulation is based on Liebherr's unique control system with communi-cations protocol.Liebherr supplies the entire set-up of the operator's seat including control levers and control panels as well as keyboard and touchscreen to control the simulations.

Construction machineryThe Liebherr master control panel allows to operate all simulation scenarios. For an authentic operation of Liebherr crawler cranes (type LR and HS) and rotary drilling rigs (type LB) the construction machinery simulator is equipped with OEM control elements, such as

• control panel with PLC ("Master")• control levers for brake and lifting operation• foot pedals for driving and free-fall (dropping) operation of the bucket• monitor (touchscreen)

Mobile harbour cranes and offshore cranesThe Liebherr master control panel allows to operate all simulation scenarios. For an authentic operation of Liebherr mobile harbour cranes (type LHM) and offshore cranes (type BOS) the simulator is equipped with OEM control elements, such as

• control panel with PLC ("Master")• control levers for brake and lifting operation• foot pedals for driving operation• monitor (touchscreen)

Container cranesThe Liebherr master control panel allows to operate all simulation scenarios. For an authentic operation of Liebherr ship to shore cranes (type STG) and rubber tyre gantry cranes (type RTG) the container crane simulator is equipped with OEM control elements, such as

• control panel with PLC* ("Master")• control levers for lifting operation• MOPS control• monitor (touchscreen)

*) Liebherr can integrate the customer's control panel into the Liebherr simulator upon request.

Instructor‘s station

An instructor's station is included as a standard for simulator start-up and loading scenarios. It comprises the computer in the rack with two 24" displays, keyboard, mouse and game-pad.

The instructor's station allows the instructor to monitor the ac-tion performed by the operator, modify simulation parameters and inject faults. The instructor can load any scenario. The instructor's station also allows the instructor to "fly through" the entire simulation environment to view the operation from any position.

Due to the flexibility of the virtual environment, users can run through any load handling situation and simulate harsh environmental conditions when required.

Original software and hardware

The installation of original Liebherr control elements and soft-ware guarantees a realistic training experience. The motion base and surround sound system generate a realistic impres-sion just as experienced during real operation.

Trainees benefit from the real set-up of the operator's seat, in-cluding control levers and control panels as well as a keyboard and touchscreen for the control of the simulations.

Full HD flat screens and surround loudspeakers provide sounds and views typically experienced in the cabin. Each si-mulator is equipped with a multifunctional instructor's station which has complete control over the simulation.
