Cookbook Club
J A N - D E CLearn to make new recipes and make new friends, too! Join the Chow Club, our spin
on a cookbook\cooking club. Each month will be a new food theme. Participants
will select which new cookbooks to use next. To join the club, pick a recipe from one
of the cookbooks located at the front desk, sign your name and selection title on the
sheet, make your dish at home before the next meeting, and last bring your meal to
the Library for all to enjoy at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 24.

The Rowan County Public Library will be throwing a Banned Books Bash to celebrate Banned Books Week. Ages 13+ are
welcome to join us for our bash on Sept. 24 at 6:00 pm. Stop by and get your mugshot, share with others what
banned books you’ve read, enjoy popcorn & refreshments, decorate a tote bag, create black-out poetry, and you may
even win the door prize!
Banned Books Week at RCPL is September 22-28.

Service, Daniel Boone National Forest.
Join America’s most beloved storytellers in a beautiful mountain lakeside setting surrounded by a vibrant palette of fall colors. These talented artists will take you away to other times and
places through the art of storytelling. Stories are told in large tents on the shore of Cave Run Lake at Twin Knobs Recreation Area in the Daniel Boone National Forest, located eight miles
west of Morehead, Kentucky.
