Annual Report as a Teacher Artifact

From the UFT:

“Under the teacher evaluation system, teachers have the opportunity to submit up to eight artifacts as a chance to demonstrate their good work throughout the year.

To decide on artifacts, teachers need to think about materials they create during the year that best reflect their skills under the Danielson Framework components in domains 1 and 4. A single artifact can demonstrate skill under multiple components.”

(UFT: Our Rights as Teachers - Teacher Artifactshttp://www.uft.org/our-rights/teacher-evaluation/artifacts)

Your annual report can reflect many of your skills all in one document - make sure you choose to report on metrics that you want to show off.

Which stats should we use?

Connect it back to student

learning -

No one is interested in

acquisitions unless you can

show how they impacted

students.

Always show

the “why”

Why is this

important?

Why did this happen?

Remember to track yourself!A good annual report needs a whole year’s worth of data - that means you need to keep track of what you’re doing over the year!

Don’t just wait until May for data to fall into your lap!

Page 17: Library Annual Reports

Document everything!Take pictures like the library is your adorable toddler, otherwise you won’t have anything visual at the end of the year.

Make sure you store your pictures in a central location - they’reno good if you can’t find them!

Page 18: Library Annual Reports

Don’t shortchange goals!

Give yourself all of the

space you need.

Outline action plans as much as you can.

Use this to keep yourself

on track next year!
