Subject: Reference letter – Heather Wallace To Whom It May Concern, Heather Wallace has been working for a year as a System and Service modelling engineer in an Airbus Defence and Space international team in charge of a very large tender aiming at operating and maintaining a large satellite system and associated ground infrastructure. In this role she reported directly to me as bid Chief Technical Officer. Over this highly intensive bid project, we could observe how engaged and professional Heather’s behaviour was in support of the team. As an experienced model based system engineering expert, Heather developed a structured, clear and very comprehensive model of the services and activities to be derived from the customer requirements. One of the big challenges of this ambitious task was to collect and formalise the views of the different work package owners who were of different nationalities (French, Spanish, German, British), were based in 5 different locations in Europe and had never worked as a team before. Heather’s communication and diplomatic skills of, coupled with a very solid logical mind-set helped successfully define the service model which progressively became the foundation and the central reference of the technical offer, enforcing the global consistency between the requirements and tasks defined by the customer, the work breakdown structure defined by the bid team, the ITIL driven processes and the expected outputs derived from the requirements. Beyond her technical knowledge and the interpersonal skills, what we were most impressed by were her rigour, her engagement, her commitment and, very appreciated, her always positive attitude. We believe that Heather is very structured, has a wide spectrum of competencies in particular in the system engineering and modelling domain and has good and accurate analytical intuitions. We were really glad to have Heather on board as part of our team and can strongly recommend her for positions matching her aforementioned outstanding skills
