ADAM KANE

Adam Kane is a dynamic Songwriter originally from Sydney, Australia. An accomplished instrumentalist and lyricist, Adam grew up in humble musical surroundings, and was fortunate to have baby boomer parents who took as much pride in their vinyl collections as their own children. Music was life, and it was the soundtrack to it. It was inevitable that Adam would go on to grace the stage participating in hundreds of live performances in his homeland, showcasing his innate ability to create catchy melodies, conjure thought provoking lyrics and construct tight musical arrangements. In 2005, Adam Kane and his band Bluefusion officially released a self-produced EP entitled ‘Know The Feeling?’ The album enjoyed a nice rotation on independent radio stations in Australia like FBI. Adam Kane’s diverse musical influences have encouraged him to compose highly original and fresh sounding music encompassing a broad spectrum of contemporary genres - Pop, Rock, Acoustic, Funk and Soul. Now a resident of New York City, Adam is working his little butt off on a dark dingy stage in a dive bar near you.

Please see below for a list of upcoming gigs: November 17th w/Silent Monk @ Pianos, LES at 7:30pm November 30th w/Silent Monk @ The Bitter End at 9pm December 14th w/Jeremy Berman @ Wicked Willy's, Greenwich Village at 7pm

Thanksgiving

If you haven’t been in the States for a Thanksgiving holiday you are in for a treat. It is a day usually spent eating way too much food for dinner (turkey, stuffing, yams, sweet potatoes, etc) then taking a Nana nap and finishing the day off with too many desserts (pie, cake, cookies, ice cream, etc.) Thanksgiving is always celebrated on the last Thursday in November and this year falls on November 24th. If you are adventurous and want to try cooking a big turkey yourself, here is a site that can help: http://startcooking.com/blog/287/The-Ultimate-Guide-to-Cooking-a-Thanksgiving-Turkey

A big event in NYC is the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade. Info on the parade can be found here: http://social.macys.com/parade2011/?cm_mmc=VanityUrl-_-parade-_-n-_-n#/parade-route
