Organic BPS is poised on a path of expansion and growth, and we have with us a group of pathfinders who have discovered new routes and paved new trails in their journey towards success. V. K. Madhav Mohan is a unique combination of ideas, multi-domain knowledge, organizational skills and leadership capabilities. He is a mentor to leading corporations in India and abroad. He was one of the youngest ever directors of the State Bank of Travancore, and the only outsider in a high-level committee on capacity building at the Reserve Bank of India. Shri. Biju Dominic, CEO and Co-founder, Final Mile Consulting, with offices in Mumbai, Chicago and New York, has pioneered the development of Behaviour Architecture, which combines learning from Cognitive Neuroscience, Behavioural Economics and Design. Previously he had been CEO of DMA Branding, Vice President of Mudra Communications and Associate Vice President of Lowe Lintas. Shri. Rajeev Raja, Founder and CEO, BrandMusiq, Mumbai, who is an expert and exciting flautist, is equally fluent with various genres of music ranging from Jazz to Indian Classical to Rock to Latin. After quitting his last post as National Creative Director at DDB Mudra, he started BrandMusiq, a sonic branding company, and now consults various leading companies. Shri. Ninan Thariyan, CEO, Daily Thanthi Next, Chennai, has left an indelible mark in the print media over a span of 32 years. Earlier he had been the Vice President of Bennett, Coleman & Company Ltd, the brand owners of The Times Group, including The Times of India and The Economic Times. Shri. Gaurav Singhal, CEO, Blue Digital Media, with offices in Noida, UAE and Malaysia, is an accomplished Internet professional who helps big brands and start-ups with his digital marketing counsel. One More Trophyin the Kitty

Dear Readers,

Warm Greetings!

April 2016 marks the beginning of a new era for

Organic BPS. Like the eagle that breaks off its beak

and talons, and rips off its feathers for a rebirth into a

more exciting lease of life, we have buried some of

our old concepts, systems and practices, have added

some resources and are poised for flight into a new,

exciting future. And, well, not to mention, we are

thrilled! Of course, we have taken this major step to

serve our clientele, who have supported us all along,

in a better and more sustainable way.

In the whole process of rebirth, we have redefined our

purpose – “Helping Growth by Building Brands” – and

we have reinstated our core values – “Commitment to

Righteousness, Excellence and Result.” To guide and

mentor us, we have formed an Advisory Board of

eminent leaders from various domains. A Senior

Leadership Team has also been constituted to

constantly strive for improved outcomes and increased

client satisfaction.

This is also that time of the year when two of our

initiatives – Mimamsa and Greenstorm – get launched.

Mimamsa is a learning initiative where we imbibe

from the shared experiences of leaders and introspect

on our activities to ensure better outcome. Green-

storm, a CSR initiative, is an online creative contest

and exhibition held to spread environmental aware-

ness.

Let’s look forward to a busy time ahead. And on this

happy note, let me sign off with a renewed promise to

continue to serve you to the best of our abilities in the

coming year!

Last month the Organic BPS trophy cupboard laboriously made

space for one more trophy – the NIB Award for the Best Concept

in Newsletter. The Award was received by Mr. Dileep Narayanan,

Managing Director, Organic BPS, from Shri. V K Ebrahimkunju,

Minister for Public Works, during the NIB National Awards 2016

function held at Radisson Blu Hotel, Kochi, on February 20,

2016. Our newsletter, Mimamsa, was just into its second issue

when we received this award at the national level and this

undoubtedly is a source of motivation for us. The word

‘mimamsa’ in Sanskrit means ‘reflection’ or ‘critical

investigation.’ The newsletter is published in connection with

our regular introspective workshop, Mimamsa, where we listen to

experts in the industry, learn, introspect, review and reorganize

for improved performance and better results. The NIB Award,

instituted by Ernakulam Press Club in association with Public

Relations Council of India “celebrates the PR industry’s people,

creativity and business acumen.”

Organic BPS has reorganized our enthused and energetic team into six functional areas – Marketing & Corporate Communication, Strategy & Account Planning, Client Service, Creative Designing, Digital Solutions, and Resources – and a Senior Leadership Team of six has also been constituted to ensure improved service outcomes for increased client satisfaction.

Vision WorkshopThe ninth MIMAMSA was a workshop by Shri. V. K. Madhav Mohan, Corporate Mentor, on setting goals based on the activities, core values, vision and mission of the company. The workshop was conducted on 5th and 6th of March 2016. He emphasized on the necessity for ‘Attention to Detail’ for an ‘Error-free Outcome.’ The second day of the workshop was graced by the presence of Francis Xavier, Founder, Outreach Foundation India, an organization which provides the youth a window for self and skills development. He was highly appreciative of the learning initiatives of Organic BPS. He dwelt upon the importance of learning and introspection, and review and revision.

The eighth edition of MIMAMSA was inaugurated by Shri. Rajesh Nair, Director-Markets, Ernst & Young LLP. He spoke about the environment in Kerala for entrepreneurship. According to him, Kerala is not suitable for every kind of industry. He stated that companies which make chemicals which are of a polluting nature can never be set up in Kerala, as the civic population will never allow the growth of any such organization, however profitable they may be, in spite of their creating a lot of opportunity for employment. It is also difficult to set up companies that require large tracts of land in Kerala. According to him, “In Kerala we have democracy and we have demand, but demography is not actually like the rest of India. The rest of India is becoming younger, but the Kerala population is becoming older.”

Officer, Idea Cellular Ltd., Kerala, very interestingly traced the history of the creation and evolution of the Idea Cellular advertisement campaigns. He touched upon how an ad campaign can create, change and sustain the mindset of the consumer. He cited the success of the Idea Star Singer reality show as a promotional strategy where the campaign got more attention than even the media channel that hosted it. He emphasized the importance of advertisements projecting what the brand stands for, focusing on the right market segment, and infusing credibility in the targeted audience.

Shri. B. Balagopal, Deputy General Manager-Marketing, Malayala Manorama, touched upon his personal experiences of the power of salesmanship. He emphasized the need for identifying and following up the right customers for positive outcomes.

Pete’s Super Sunday

Organic BPS was the Brand Partner with Pete’s Super Sunday, an exclusive display of super cars and bikes, held on April 3, 2016, at CIAL Convention Centre. The event was one of its kind in India.

The Greenstorm Ecotale Challenge is a 140-character tiny tale contest based on the theme ‘Kill the wild within you. Spare the world around you.’ This is based on the UNEP theme for World Environment Day – Zero tolerance for illegal wildlife trade. The contest is a call to the worldwide public to take positive action against poaching of species like elephants, rhinos, tigers, gorillas, sea turtles, hornbills, etc. for illegal trade of wildlife products. The contest also aims to spread public awareness on the extensive damage to the environment and the increased risk to the earth’s biodiversity caused by this illicit trade of wildlife parts and products. The contest makes an appeal to the world to help safeguard wildlife for future generations.

The last date for submission of entries of Greenstorm Ecotale Challenge is May 30, 2016. Stories can be either in English or in Malayalam. The stories should be submitted to www.organicbps.com/greenstorm. The entries will be screened by a panel of judges and the best 30 stories will be exhibited for public voting on the Organic BPS website, Facebook and Twitter pages from June 5 to 15, 2016. The best three stories, based on the marks given by the jury and the votes received from the public, will win certificates and cash awards worth Rs. 50,000.
