Let’s make Tissue Paper Flowers!

We need: • 6 sheets coloured

tissue paper, including 1 green sheet.

• 1 pair of scissors• String or thread

Let’s start:1. Stack all the tissue paper together, with the green sheet at the bottom.

Start to fold from 1 short side. Fold over about 2 cm and press down firmly. Turn over paper stack and fold over again. Keep going, turning and folding until you get to the end. You have a zig zag pile of paper.

2. Tie the string round the middle of the paper and leave a long tail. Cut the string. Cut the ends of your folded paper with a scissors into a rounded or a pointed shape.

3. Now we are going to turn the paper into a flower. Make sure the green side is underneath. Gently pull the top sheet away from the rest of the paper. Go all the way round.

Repeat with all the other sheets of paper. It gets easier with each sheet.

4. Now you have a flower. The spare thread can tie it to a window, a chair, anywhere you like.
