With spring allergies upon us, is there anything I can do to relieve my dry, itching eyes? “Once spring has sprung and the flowers are making us forget about the snow, many of us find our eyes are itchy and dry. When cold compresses are not bringing relief, the remedy often consists of any one of the wide varieties of artificial tears and ocular lubricants on the market, which may be chilled in the refrigerator for additional comfort. Antihistamine eye drops (either OTC or by prescription) are often effective at diminishing allergic symptoms. Even prescription steroid drops are available for those who require additional help.”
