From the Governor

LOOM members do not forget elections on April 14th The Sweetheart Ball held at Camarillo Lodge was great and so

was the food. Our sweetheart was our ever willing/giving Mary Hern-

don. Please join us on Taco Tuesdays, Mary is our cheerful cook.

Congratulations! Mary. Mary was crowned (literally, but not with a

bat) by our past sweetheart, Eve Mora.

LOOM 1394 took advantage of the occasion and broke tradi-

tion by awarding a second and well deserved honor (plaque) to Bonnie

Rivera for all her years of service. Thanks for putting up with me bug-

ging you these last years.

Congratulations are also in order to our LOOM Rookie of the

year, Erich (WARRIOR) Lindenlaub. Donnie (COACH) Rea was cho-

sen as Lodge Moose of the year. These two brothers have always

been willing to contribute their time and money. Thanks! guys.

Our Administrator, Al Carmona, and myself will be represent-

ing our Lodge at the Mid-Conference being held in Reno on March

25th thru March 28th. We will make a report when we return. Hope

to see some of you there.

From Your Editor Having been your Editor since May 2006, it is now time to “retire”. I would like to

thank each and every one of you for the opportunity to have served as your Editor

for the past four years and for your kind words of encouragement and praise. My

thanks to my proof reader, Cindy Metcho, for always being there for me and making

me look good. Also, thank you to, Lucille Juarez, for making sure the newsletter is

mailed every month. To, Jeanene Bahamonde, thank you for doing the big job of

printing the newsletter every month. To all of you who help to put on labels and

fold every month, I don’t know who you are as I am not there; but I know the news-

letter would not be able to go out without all of your help. To all of you, who faith-

fully, send your information to me each month, thank you! Diane Carr will be taking

over as your Editor. Please continue to extend the same courtesy to Diane that you

have extended to me. As you can see, getting the newsletter to all the membership

is not done single handily, so the next time you see one of these members, say

Casino night for the Legion 175 was a great

success! Everyone had a blast! The tables

were full and so were the smiles. I never

could have done it without the help of Dave

and Al for helping with the setup and cleanup.

Also, a huge thanks to all of the dealers, the

cooks and bartenders for doing a great job. I hope I can count on you

again next year.....LoL. A big thank you to the Gold Coast Moose

Golf Club for the donation (Jim).

Condolences

Our sincere condolences to, Jess Chambless, on the passing of his

sister, Kathy, in February. We, the Loyal order of Moose, and the

Women of the Moose, share in your sorrow.

From Your Sr. Regent Well, this is it.!! My last newsletter, that I will write as your Senior Re-

gent and I really don’t know where to start, except to say “THANK YOU”.

This will be a year that I will always remember. The wonderful people of

our Lodge that I have met and the kindness that you have showed me,

have been so appreciated.

I want to thank everyone for a wonderful year. You have no idea how much

I have appreciated your support. This year’s Board and the Committee

Chairmen have been the best. Thank you one and all for everything that

you have done and all the support you gave to me. I could not have done it

without you. I believe that we have accomplished what we set out to do.

The steak nights, other Friday night meals, kid’s events, breakfasts, were all

a success because of you. Thank you.

I want to thank, Governor Jess, and his Board for their support . Working

with all of you has been my pleasure. Your support has made this year so

much easier. Your kindness will always be remembered.

I just want to remind everyone about installation on April17th. Hope you will

all be there to meet our new Board. I know that you will give them the sup-

port that you gave this year’s Board.

Just keep a look out on the calendar for all other upcoming events!!
