LET IT GO!
A young child began to cry desperately for help.
While his parents were browsing he had wedged his
hand into a vase and was unable to take it out. He
was stuck. The boy’s parents tried and tried to no
avail until finally they broke the vase. When the
boy’s hand was freed, he opened it up to reveal a
shiny new dime. He could not get his hand out of the
vase because he would not let go of the dime.
Have you ever failed to remove your hand out
of Satan’s snare because you were holding on too
tightly to the very thing that drew you to sin? If so,
the key is not to break the snare – you will never be
able to do that – but to let it go. When sin impacts
us, overcomes us, or drains us, let go of the tempta-
tion that drew you in. Come to your senses and let it
go! “….and they may come to their senses and es-
cape from the snare of the devil, having been held
captive by him to do His will. 2 Timothy 2:26
