Sandia’s “Official” Tasks:

• Work with Sandia National Laboratories starting in August, 2012 to develop methods for measuring the effectivenessf h RTCCof the RTCC

• Two surveys designed: one for the Test Squad, one for the Control Squad

• Focus on level of situational awareness and method of preparation and how these change as a result of receiving information from the RTCC

• Hypothesis being tested is that when officers are prepared yp g p pwith more information they are better able to deal with the dynamic, possibly volatile situations they encounter, thus making that encounter safer for both officers and the public

Get the furniture and equipment

• Site survey of facility to determine equipment locations and cable pathways.

• Have an opening made in the cable guide (pipe) to allow for cable to run from 2nd and 3rd floors to the roof.

• Order eight mobile radios (Harris M7300) and all of the associated installation materials.

• Research and order equipment cabinet that would fit the aesthetics of the RTCC room.

• Assemble headset‐jack and PTT foot petal assemblies for the mobile radios.

• Install radios and power supplies at the operator positions.

• Install Duplexer allowing for the mobiles to share antennas.

• Run cables from the operator positions on the third floor through the floor and access the opening tofloor through the floor and access the opening to the cable guide on the 2nd floor.

• Pull cables back up to the third floor and connect to the Duplexer.

• Run cables from the Duplexer to the roof for the antennas.

• Mount antenna and secure cables.

Citizens encouraged to use the Crime Stoppers Hotline during Roundup

Crime Stoppers first began in Albuquerque during July 1975, after the fatal shooting of Michael Carmen while he was working one night at a local filling station. After two weeks the police had no information when out of desperation Detective Greg MacAleese approached a localMacAleese approached a local television station requesting a reconstruction of the crime. The re‐enactment offered $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the killers.
