Objectives

After completing this unit, you should be able to:

- Access configurator

- Identify Participants in the ICBS-R Network

- Map ICBS-R Roles to Participants

Please note that most users will not have to configure any relationships since most relationships are set up and maintained in the Configurator by the NWCG System Admin.

What is Participant Modeling?

Defines the relationships between organizations in an extended supply chain network.

Assign roles to specify which participants in the supply chain have access to certain applications in order to fulfill their responsibilities.

Identifying Participants

In ICBS, an “Organization” represents any of the following units of business:– Business Group– Legal Entity– Purchasing Organization– Sales Organization– Cache (Warehouse)– 3rd Party Logistics

Mapping Roles to Organizations

A Role is the part played by an organization in the network. ICBS supports the following organization roles:– Hub – there is only one Hub per organization.– Enterprise = cache system as a whole– Buyer = our customers that purchase products– Seller = who we buy our products from– Carrier = who moves our products to destination– Node = where physical inventory is located. Each

cache is a node.
