AbstractMany companies are aware of opportunities to improve systems development,system integration and complex project execution. Conventional Systems Engineeringfrom the military and aerospace domain, although perceived as useful, also tendsto be seen as “heavy” in terms of process and artifacts. In this paper we explorealternative Systems Engineering approaches that are perceived as lighter. Wealso explore how much Systems Engineering is appropriate.
