By selecting from a range of auxiliary attachments, a basic spinningmachine can become a versatile spinning center, easy to operateand capable of carrying out, in a single cycle, more than oneoperation.Operations such as:

give you the opportunity to diversify and adapt to an ever-changingmarket and enjoy a decisive lead over the competitors.
The basic elements of Leifeld's space saving spinning machinesare the machine bed, headstock, tailstock, spinning slides andcombined PNC/CNC control, which all are installed on a centralbase plate. Additional items, such as KA / BAE auxiliary cylindersand multiple tool changers, allow you to manufacture complicatedspinnings in one cycle. Spindle speeds in either direction can bepre-set via the keyboard. A new workpiece can be programmedmultiple different ways, for example by "teach in" using the mobiledesk, with data displayed on the flat screen monitor - or by use ofour offline programming software. Existing programs can beoptimized either directly online on the machine or offline by use ofthe supplied offline programming software.
Blank Centering Unit
for accurately centeringblanks or certain pre-forms. Once clamped thecentering arms areautomatically lowered. Aheight indicator counter isfitted to assist in resettingfor a diameter change.
Blank Support Unit
using either a disc orconical roller. Thissupport unit stabilizes theunsupported blank duringspinning and permits highwork rates without risk ofwrinkle formation.
Trimming Knife
designed to continuouslytrim the blank edgeduring spinning, soavoiding the formation of“ears”.
Edge Working
KA and BAE attachmentsare used toaccommodate profiling,trimming and curling(beading) rollers, as wellas machining andflanging tools.
