The Beatles

The Beatles were a famous British band in the 1960s. They were from Liverpool in the north-west of England. Their music was popular all over the world and they had 17 number 1 songs in the UK. Some of their famous songs are ‘Yellow Submarine’, ‘All you need is Love’ and ‘Yesterday’. The Beatles were also popular for their look – their hair was quite long and that was very unusual in the 1960s! Girls were crazy about them!

James Bond

James Bond is a British spy in the famous spy books by the writer Ian Fleming. The books are quite old, but they are still popular. Today there are over 25 James Bond films! The first film, Dr No, was made in 1962. The Scottish actor Sean Connery was James Bond in Dr No, but now the actor Daniel Craig plays the part of Bond. This is a photo of him. He’s tall and handsome and he’s got blue eyes and short, blond hair. He’s a very good actor and he’s a popular Bond!
