France is the world’s top tourist destination with 90 million foreign tourists. In 2014 foreign

tourists generated expenditure of 45.5€ bn and this is expected to grow to 63.5€bn in 2025

with over 109 million tourists. Travel and tourism attracted 31.0€ bn of capital investment in

Formerly economic advisor to the Prime

Minister of Armenia and former Special

Adviser to the Ministry of European Affairs,

as well as Groupe Caisse des Dépôts et

Consignations to the Department of

European and International Affairs in Paris.

Based in Avignon, Sylvain founded the

Société Immobilière Office in 2005 and

specialises in international real estate with

partners in Russia, China, Luxembourg,

Brazil, Cameroon and Ivory Coast.

CHRISTOPHER SMITH B.COMM(ECON), EXPERT EN BÂTIMENT

Chris is our Head of Department. Prior to

settling in France in 1999, Chris managed

sales and acquisiton of commercial and

industrial property in the Private Banking

sector in South Africa. In France, Chris

trained as a certified Expert en Bâtiment

(Surveyor) and has 15 years experience in

the French real estate market.

Philippe has 22 years experience as an

Export Manager for major brands in

London, Paris, Far East and the Pacific. For

the past 13 years Philippe has worked as

a Private Banker for Otto Meriten in Lyon,

dealing with a large network of financial

planners and European banks.

SIMON KEYS BA(HONS), MA

Simon brings to Leggett Commercial a

wealth of property broking experience

in Europe. Simon has worked as Senior

Consultant for the Economist Intelligence

Unit, Head of Consulting and Research for

Jones Lang Wooton, Director of FPD Savilles,

Associate of Cushman and Wakefield and

since 2005 has worked as Property Director

for Shaftesbury Asset Management in

Germany.
