AccorActing for global hotelier Accor for a number of their brands including Ibis, Mercure, Novotel, Sofitel and Adagio in relation to their property acquisition requirements across the UK. Acquisitions include Edinburgh, Liverpool and Central London.

Project Eagle – MarriottActed for an Indian sponsored bidder consortium on the proposed acquisition of 42 Marriott branded hotels in the UK.

Puma Hotels plc – Premier Inn HotelAdvised Puma Hotels Plc on the development agreement for lease and construction documentation in connection with the development of a new branded hotel in Harrogate to Premier Inn.

Redefine International P.L.C. – AcquisitionAdvised Redefine on the acquisition of five Holiday Inn branded hotels based in London from the Splendid Hotel Group (£106 million), the recent acquisition of the Holiday Inn Express in Earls Court (£27 million) and the Crowne Plaza, Reading (£12.75 million).

Albert Embankment – Crowne PlazaActing for an overseas Middle Eastern developer owner in the development of a new build hotel to be Crowne Plaza (IHG) branded. Advising on construction and operating agreements.

The Portman Estate – Boutique Hotel and Manhattan LoftProviding strategic advice on the structuring of the conversion of two Georgian terraced houses into a boutique hotel, on the conversion of a Victorian Fire Station in Central London into boutique hotels to be operated by Manhattan Loft.

Opulent Asia Pacific Hotel Brand – The ShardAdvising on all of their pre-opening requirements for the Shard in London. Work has included advice on high level employment contracts, pensions advice, tax advice, health & safety gap analysis and negotiation of commercial agreements.

US Investor – Portfolio AcquisitionsAdvising US Investor on the bid and successful acquisitions of two portfolios of non-performing loans secured on hotels and real estate assets in the UK & across Europe with a combined face value in excess of £5.2 billion.

Redefine BDL Hotels ManagementAdvising on a range of commercial matters including: the development and management of a hotel in Brae, Shetland with £6.5 million backing from Royal Bank of Scotland and the acquisition of Rosslea Hall in Helensburgh.

Telereal Trillium – Contempory luxury hotel operatorAdvising Telereal Trillium on a joint venture with contempory luxury hotel operator for the development of a hotel in Bath and the grant of a hotel management contract to the operator.

Sami Saad Holdings – RamadaAdvising the Egyptian owner on the Ramada Encore, West London, for major extension and refurbishment works.

Lloyds Banking Group and Grant ThorntonAdvising on the administration of the Free Trade Hall Hotel Ltd, the owner of the iconic 263 bedroom 5* Manchester Free Trade Hall Radisson Edwardian.

Benmore GroupActed on the development, leasing and forward funding by Aviva of their site at Dale Street Liverpool. The site comprises a hotel, Tesco store and multi storey car park with an approximate value of £15 million.

Jansons – Premier Inn Hotel, SouthwarkActed for this developer on a site in Southwark, London who acquired land. We put in place an Agreement for Lease with Premier Inn and forward sold to Blue Grotto, by way of a share sale of the asset holding entity.

Mandarin Oriental GroupAdvising Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in connection with re-development construction works at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London.

Sale of the Principal Hayley group’s 23-hotel portfolioActing for the Vendor in respect of Scottish aspects of the sale of the Principal Hayley group’s 23-hotel portfolio to Starwood Capital, which included landmark hotels, The George in Edinburgh and Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow.

Grange HotelAdvising Global Grange Limited, in connection with the construction works at the Grange St Paul’s Hotel and the development of the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel providing project advisory services and advising on construction contracts and consultants’ appointments.

HSBC Bank plc – Development loans to CitizenM HotelsAdvised HSBC on their development loans to CitizenM Hotels, with respect to their new hotels at Lavington Street, London (£14 million) and Tower Hill London (£26 million).

Inter ContinentalAdvising Miller Construction UK on the contractual and funding arrangements for the design and construction of a 251 bedroom hotel for a developer in Stephenson Quarter, Newcastle. The operator will be Inter Continental.
