Each time before I set forth on an Organ Donation Talk or Awareness Campaign, I

always have these distilled PICTURES in my mind.

P- That I am Passionate with and a love for this noble cause as it instills the

organ donation awareness to the general public, organ donation, the Gift of Life, one can

save life by donating his or her organs upon untimely death caused by accidents

I-Taking Initiative to strike a conversation on organ donation, and enquiring with

the National Transplant Resource Centre whether or not they require my assistance in

their organ donation awareness campaign; for at times they do face shortage of

manpower to manage the counters in the event of too many campaigns concurrently

happening in a day

C- To be able to Communicate the topic in the simplest possible language

to potential organ donor pledges, dialysis patients or transplant recipients. Being tri-

lingual gives me this added advantage

T-Time is a common denominator to everyone on earth as each individual is

entitled to 24 hours a day. I plan my schedule, with the blessings and with understanding

of my family, quite often, I devote my leisure or postpone personal appointments, to

participate in organ donation awareness campaign.

U-Understand from the other person’s point of view relating to organ

donation; I explain to allay their fears to put them at ease in order to put the message

across to get their better understanding of the subject.

R-Research in the topic through reading materials of relevance from the

webpage of Critical Research Centre or search engines, and responsible of my talk as

each word of the topic carries an act of meaning to the potential organ pledges.

E- AmEver grateful to the Bender family for their altruism in given me a second

chance in life. Expect nothing in return in the work of volunteerism; a philosophy that my

paternal grandmother instilled into us; we must forget the assistance that we had rendered

to the unfortunate, but to remember the kindness the others who had extended to us

during difficult times.

S- A Supportive family and derive the greatest satisfaction for the noble act as

ORGAN DONATION SAVES LIVES!
