umoduleSLEG3fromTridonicarenotprotectedagainstovervoltages,overcurrents,overloadsorshort-circuitcurrents.SafeandreliableoperationcanonlybeguaranteedinconjunctionwithaLEDDriverwhichcomplieswiththerelevantstandards.TheuseofuLEDDriversfromTridonicincombinationwithumoduleSLEG3guaranteesthenecessaryprotectionforsafeandreliableoperation.

IfaLEDDriverotherthanTridonicuconverterisused,itmustprovidethefol-lowingprotection:•Short-circuitprotection•Overloadprotection•Overtemperatureprotection

umoduleSLEG3mustbesuppliedbyaconstantcurrentLEDDriver.OperationwithaconstantvoltageLEDDriverwillleadtoanirreversibledamageofthemodule.WrongpolaritycandamagetheumoduleSLEG3.

Max.torqueforfixing:0.5Nm.

TheLEDmodulesaremountedwith2screwspermodule.InordernottodamagethemodulesonlyroundedheadscrewsandanadditionalplasticflatwashershouldbeusedforLEDmoduleswithouthousing.

ChemicalsubstancemayharmtheLEDmodule.Chemicalreactionscouldleadtocolourshift,reducedluminousfluxoratotalfailureofthemodulecausedbycorrosionofelectricalconnections.

ThelightoutputofanLEDModuledecreasesoverthelife-time,thisischaracterizedwiththeLvalue.L70meansthattheLEDmodulewillgive70%ofitsinitialluminousflux.Thisvalueisalwaysrelatedtothenumberofoperationhoursandthereforedefinesthelife-timeofanLEDmodule.

AstheLvalueisastatisticalvalueandthelumenmaintenacemayvaryoverthedeliveredLEDmodules.TheBvaluedefinestheamountofmoduleswhicharebelowthespecificLvalue,e.g.L70B10means10%oftheLEDmodulesarebelow70%oftheinitalluminousflux,respectivly90%willbeabove70%oftheinitialvalue.Inadditionthepercentageoffailedmodules(fatalfailure)ischaracterizedbytheCvalue.

TheFvalueisthecombinationoftheBandCvalue.ThatmeansforFdegradationandcompletefailuresareconsidered,e.g.L70F10means10%oftheLEDmodulesmayfailorbebelow70%oftheinitialluminousflux.
