We use 'there are' for plural nouns:

That'That' is used for singular things which aren't near us:

> That glass.

We use a singular verb after 'that':

> That pen is black.

> That glass is empty.

We also use 'that' when talking about something which happened in the past:That movie was funny.

Those'Those' is used for plural things which aren't near us:

> Those pens.

> Those glasses.

We use a plural verb after 'those':

> Those pens are black.

> Those glasses are empty.
