Writing Persuasive writing topic: I should be allowed to eat lollies for dinner!
For or Against Consider what are the positives and negatives for both sides of this argument.
Are lollies a healthy food? Will they keep you feeling full? Do you like the taste of lollies?
Write 3 reasons why you should be allowed to eat lollies for dinner. Then write 3 reasons why you shouldn’t be allowed to eat lollies for dinner.
Writing Select a book from your home collection and read the book out loud to a pet, sibling or teddy bear.
Once you have finished reading your book, go back and find two nouns from each page. (Remember a noun is a person, place or thing.)
Write the nouns on your page and try to think of a rhyming word for each one.
Choose your favourite 2 nouns and write them in a silly sentence. Challenge: use an adjective (describing word) to describe the nouns you choose.
