MA. RACHEL B. ESPINO
School ICT Coordinator-Designate
What is LIS? A system for maintaining the registry of
learners aimed at meeting the following objectives:Provide a standardized registration
system for learners
Track learner progress/performance
Provide learner information for better program planning and supervision of schools and learning centers
Enhance management of learner records
Roles of the Classroom Adviser
•Enroll appropriate enrollees to
section handled
•Update or correct personal
background and information of
learners
NOTE:
The classroom advisers need
the SF1 (School Register) in
filling up the data in the LIS
Guidelines:
Class advisers shall be responsible
for updating enrolment and learner
data in the LIS. They must ensure
that information in their respective
class registries are updated and
accurate.
Guidelines:
Enrolment data in the LIS must be
based on learners who actually
reported in school from the date of
the school opening (i.e. June 2,
2014). In enrolling learners in the LIS,
the “Date of First Attendance” must
be entered. This refers to the actual
date the learner reported in school for
the current school year (Note: This is
NOT the registration or enrolment
date).
Guidelines:
The cut-off date for reporting “annualenrolment” is the 1st Friday (June 6,2014) of the week of school opening. Thisannual enrolment is the total number oflearner who reported in school andattended classes from the school openingto the cut-off date (June 2-6, 2014).These data constituting the annual datawill be entered in the LIS only until July11, 2014. after this date, the annualenrolment data will be automaticallypushed to the enrolment summaries inthe EBEIS. These summarized data inthe EBEIS shall serve as official basis forthe 2015 budget execution.
Guidelines:
Late enrolees are learners whoreported in school after the June 6,2014 cut-off date. These data beencoded in the system including their“Date of First Attendance” after theenrolment data of June 2 – 6 havebeen entered in the system. In order tomaintain an updated learner registry, late enrolees can still be encoded inthe system even beyond the July 11,2014 deadline for encoding annualenrolment data.
Guidelines:
Additional enrolment data referred
to as “enrolment tags” shall be
collected and these are the
following:
1. CCT Recipient refers to learners
whose families are recipients of
the Conditional Cash Transfer
(CCT) under Pantawid Pamilyang
Pilipino Program (4Ps) of the
DSWD
2. ALIVE refers to learners who are
enrolled in Arabic Language and
Islamic Values Education classes.
3. Balik-aral refers to learners who
finished a grade level, stopped
schooling and enrolled in the next
grade level after a year or more as
of the enrolment cut-off date.
4. Repeater refers to learners who
failed or left a particular grade
level in any previous school year
and are enrolled in the same
grade level where they left or
failed, as of the enrolment cut-off
date.

Something to think of...
Technology will not replace
teachers...but teachers who use
technology will probably
replace teachers who do not.
