INSTRUCTIONS Note: Before working with Red Heart® Mini™ multi-shade yarn ball, wind each color into separate balls. LEAVES MEASUREMENTS Small: Approx 6" [15 cm] long. Medium: Approx 8" [20.5 cm] long. Large: Approx 10" [25.5 cm] long. The instructions are written for smallest size. If changes are necessary for larger sizes the instructions will be written thus ( ). Numbers for each side are shown in the same color throughout the pattern. When only number is given in black, it applies to all sizes. 1. Cut 1 strand 16 (18-20)" [21.5 (23.5-25.5) cm] long. 2. Fold strand in half. Secure to ﬂat working area with adhesive tape at top (fold) and bottom of folded strand. Spine of Leaf created. 3. Cut strands 4 (5-6)" [10 (12.5- 15) cm] long. 4. Beginning 1" [2.5 cm] below top of Spine and taking 2 strands, tie a square knot (see page 2) around Spine to begin forming Leaf. 5. Repeat Step 4 - 19 (24-29) times more to form Leaf. 6. Mix 3 parts white glue with 1 part water. Saturate Leaves and shape into Leaf shapes on waxed paper. 7. Once dry, peel Leaves oﬀ waxed paper and trim edges. 8. Using loops at tops of Leaf Spines, place onto dowel as shown in photo. If desired, glue into position onto dowel.
